Many of you here have gone through alot with me here at PC. I'm sure ya'll remember me talking about the van and bus tours that come down my street full of tourists taking pictures.

They've caused me much frustration and anger. Taking pics of me sitting outside on my steps of the fema trailer, being outside in front of the house and even worse when i've broken down at times sitting on a curb somewhere. Its pissed me off at one point so bad that i literally threw my bike at the van.

But today on the cover page of our local newspaper was an article about these tours. And finally something good is coming out of it. I just wanted to share it with you guys. So many of you have supported me and listened to me go on and on about this.

This is the article:

Thank ya'll so much

Sounds like a neat idea. I'd be pretty pissed off too if tour busses came through my neighbourhood snapping pictures.

Hope you're doing ok.

I am glad they have come to something good rather than having those tours going through the way they were. I know for me, when I was visiting my daughter in Colorado, we went to the natural history museum in Denver....they had a presentation in the theatre....photos from Katrina....don't know how they actually were able to have the camera not get ruined with all the wind it was going through & everything that was flying around the camera......photos from the air afterwards......& photos of the wetlands & everything that was destroyed......I honestly think it's so much better to see it that way than to go there touring through peoples lives that are trying to recover.....I know for me, it was much more meaningful to see that presentation......I hate it when people try to make money off of people who are going through a trauma time of their lives.

I am glad they have come up with something that will stop hurting you all who have gone through all the trauma. My heart goes out to you with all you have gone through.

Thank ya'll.

Yes im happy something is being done. but still wish the tours would stop. I hope they get this project going soon.

Eskie, i heard quite awhile back that there was some kind of thing about katrina with pics and stuff moving around the country. Thats neat that you got to see it. They didnt set it up down here. Not that anyone would probably want to see it anyway down here. But its nice to hear about your experience with it.
