I start doctoral school. My first class. I meet my cohort, the classmates that I will be working with for the next six years.
I have wanted this for a long time. I dreamt about it as an undergrad student, and then went through a very long period in which I had decided not to apply because of my mental health issues. Life is going to change quite a bit, and the next six years won't be easy, but I am so, so excited to be starting my PsyD tomorrow. |

Pinksoil,
Best of luck to you. I'm new to psychcentral, btw. I am encouraged by what you are doing with your life. I'm in my second year of graduate school (social work) and am considering going for a doctorate after that. I'm excited to see there are several people in the process of furthering their education in this community.

Thanks everyone!
(and welcome to PC, Vbra). Yesterday was a long day. I was at school for 10 hours, due to having class and the orientation on the same day. Class (psych assessement I) was very different than the Masters program-- it is extremely fast paced and there is a MUCH larger workload. I have my other class today at 2:00. I am excited and nervous abou this whole thing! |
