There's alot of cool features here, so y'all take your time and explore.

One quick thing I wanted to point out is that you'll notice I've given thanks to posts here. it's a great feature! We can quickly say thanks to someone that we've read, but don't have much else to say or normally wouldn't respond and they know we've read and appreciate their response. It's a great thing!

Another heads up y'all.

You might want to go into your "user CP" and then go into "edit options".

I've accepted email from members, and that's a personal experience, so know it's an option, but something you need to be aware of now is that the default in the system is set to subscribe you to EVERY thread you post to. If you don't want that, you might want to fix that setting before you have a bunch.

just a couple of little tips as i'm finding them. with knowing the system, i'm looking for more for you.

it says we can't PM anyone coz our PM box is full

& where has the chat room gone ?

Go up to your "quick links" and you can access the chat rooms there.

You'll have to delete PM's if your box is full in order to send/receive. I don't know if John will change the PM settings, but for now they're limited (and might stay that way....not sure).

So anyone who's box is full...you might want to delete your older PM's to ensure you'll receive PM's that members want to send you until we hear more from John.

I'm having a problem getting into the chatrooms, in fact, it froze my firefox up.

We might have to wait until DocJohn gets here tomorrow to see what's up with that.

Another little tidbit...

If at any time y'all want to get a quick view of mods/admins, please scroll down while on the main forum index and click on "view forum leaders".

From there you can see who moderates what and also PM or email (if they have email turned on) from there as well.

It's important to go into your user CP & make sure everything is set up correctly. I went in & many of the things weren't set up the same as they were prior to the move & some of the wordings needed to be fixed as they weren't all moved over accurately.........that is such a little problem with such a huge move that was made. I am impressed with this new location, the look & the new options. It has a warm feel to it. Thanks to Doc & all who made this move/transition go smoothly.

John's going to have to create a chat room list like was at the old forums. We don't have it right now that I see. I'm sure he'll create it though. I'm glad you got in. I must not be able to since i did the new download of mozilla. Going to have to shut down maybe. I'll try with IE and see.

No, you don't have to delete all your PM's. Just go to your last page of PM (which would be the oldest) and delete a few pages so you can be ok.

Have to laugh at the little things that show up......when I did a list of all my postings, aa post that I made 11-9-2007 came up that I had made the post today.....lol. Wonder how that translatation got made.

am so glad the new forums are up and running...... ive really missed the site over this past weekend.

i cant easily see how to tell if ive got new pm's..... is there a way of personalising the view to show your inbox etc when you sign in? also i think all the pm's in my inbox are showing as "unread", is there an easy fix for this?

many thanks for any help... and a big thank you to all involved in the move... must have been a logistically nightmare!
