MJ, as usual, is so right. Someone with major depressive disorder, for instance could score as high on avoidant or some other personality disorder. That does not mean they have a PD. It just that the signs of depression made that part of this exam jump out.

Folks - don't start thinking you have a new diagnosis to worry about just because of this wee test, ok? We've got enuf to worry about with holiday shopping, and cookie induced weight gain.

I'm sorry guys. I meant this to be a fun test, not to cause anyone distress.

Please can a mod delete the link to the test? It won't let me edit my post.

I don't think THAT is necessary silver! It was quite ok to go there and do this... in fact it might be used more if it is put into the personality forum.

This is funny. Here are my results. I thought I have been "cured" for a long time! lol!
I have just recently been having bouts of depression.

oh, well... here it is!

Disorder Rating Information
Paranoid: Low
Schizoid: Moderate
Schizotypal: Moderate
Antisocial: Low
Borderline: Very High
Histrionic: Moderate

I was told about 10 yrs ago a diagnosis BPD, but never really believed it. I have learned to try to see how I am thinking, and try to stop it.

What is funny is that I am in the Health profession!

My results were interesting, but I do not care to share. I do not know how right they were. I tend to be some of the things in a given category but not all.
Cool test though.

<font color="blue"> Ah, i just love these quizzes! Here is my results:

Disorder | Rating
Paranoid: High
Schizoid: Low
Schizotypal: High
Antisocial: Low
Borderline: Very High
Histrionic: Moderate
Narcissistic: Moderate
Avoidant: Very High
Dependent: Moderate
Obsessive-Compulsive: High

Neat, but I don't agree with the schizotypal rating, as I do not have so much as a trace of schizophrenia. I think I only got the high schizotypal rating because I believe in ESP. I also think the Histrionic and Narcissistic ratings should be lower, too. But I have mixed feelings about the borderline--one of my psychology professors (whom is greatly disliked by many students, including yours truly) said that he thinks I have BPD, due to the fact that he found out about my SI. I felt like cracking his head open after that (snidely put) remark, but now I wonder if he may be right. I guess I should ask my T about it.

Great quiz, Silver. Weird, yet fun. Personality test

Honestly! I don't know how they come up with these ratings!
I totally disagree with being "Schizotypal." (Many believe that schizotypal personality disorder represents mild schizophrenia. The disorder is characterized by odd forms of thinking and perceiving, and individuals with this disorder often seek isolation from others. Not! They sometimes believe to have extra sensory ability or that unrelated events relate to them in some important way. Not! They generally engage in eccentric behavior and have difficulty concentrating for long periods of time. Not! Their speech is often over elaborate and difficult to follow. Not!) Personality test The rest is pretty much right on, though.

Disorder | Rating
Paranoid: Low
Schizoid: Low
Schizotypal: Moderate
Antisocial: Low
Borderline: Low
Histrionic: Moderate
Narcissistic: Moderate
Avoidant: Low
Dependent: Moderate
Obsessive-Compulsive: Low

Tomi, I don't think a Moderate rating means that you show much of a tendency toward a particular disorder. If you look at individual traits for these disorders, most people have one or two symptoms of a lot of them. So in general, you have to have most or all of the symptoms in order to be diagnosed with a particular personality disorder. So unless the rating is High or Very High, there isn't much chance that you have that disorder.

Or in other words, your results don't show that you have schizotypal personality disorder, they show that you probably don't have *any* personality disorder. Personality test

Candy, Hun... don't ever compare yourself to others. You'll either be dissapointed or you'll get a fat head! LOL Just be YOU. Accept YOU and whatever you don't like, make an effort to change it. Let's face it, it's probably because of our own individual "chemical imbalances" and our own past history where the differences come in. Personality test

Be good to YOU. Personality test

LOL I guess I look at these kinds of things in black and white and ignore the disclaimer that it's not completely accurate. Personality test

At one time, I was dx'ed with a personality disorder but beats me if I can remember what it was. I probably "avoided" it and promptly forgot it because I didn't like it. LOL I'll have to look it up in my records but I'm not promising I'll come clean, though. LOLOL Personality test

Not sure where the Schizotpal comes from.. but I do worry all the time about what others think or feel about me!

Histrionic.. I am a A type personality.. I do like to be the Center of Attention! I do Interrupt others and dominate conversations. I do seek out praise from everyone.. This one was right on the money! (I don't think I am manipulative)

Dependent.. Yes! I do need to be taken care of. I am scared to death to stand on my own two feet that god gave me. I am very sensitive to disapproval and disappointment. This goes along with ADD.
