what do u think about this:

I called a health and fitness center for women only. I have an appointment next week. I told them what I wanted to accomplish and she said they could definetly help.

I said I wanted to tone and keep my weight down. So this is good right??? I think with the fitness I can stop the focus on my eating issues and become healthy in many ways. I know fitness can make u feel better in many aspects. And my energy will increase.

So what do you all think?? I think this could be good.

Justy,

It could be good, if you don't overdo it, and if they recognize that you have an eating disorder and advise you appropriately, and you listen to them. Overdoing the excercise is sometimes a form of bulimia too. But other than that, I'm all in favor of fitness and being healthy. I hope it goes well for you and you enjoy it. Do they have yoga? That's what I like.

I also think I better keep this on my list, or similar, like shape up, I am not getting younger, ha!ha!
Changing to a healthy life style not only helps the body, but also the mind.

Justy,

I wish you the best of LUCK!!!!!

I lost 80 lbs over 2 years with my Dr's help and changing my life style, eating exercising ect.. I feel GREAT!

It will take time, BUT I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Don't give up!!!!

What I did that helped me during my weight loss of 1 or 2 lbs a week.. take a look at a pound of butter. That's a pound of fat gone! So always keep stick butter in your refrigerator. It can be inspiration!!!

Everything in moderation, I always say. Long as you keep that in mind, it can only be a good thing. Good luck!

I agree with the others, all things in moderation is one phrase I use too... and you must make sure they know you have an eating disorder (they get fananical about excercising clients, too)... toning is good, not eating right and over working out is not good.

Thanks everyone. My reasons for doing this are me wanting to tone. I talked to my parents about going and my dad got mad. He said I can't afford to lose anymore weight. I kind of got mad at him as he is always putting everyone down for weight. I know I can't drop in weight but he freaked on me when all of the memories I have as a child was name calling when I was not even fat. He did this to my sister as well. They are both struggling with an ED as well.

I did not say much to him about it after. I had just mentioned that I was joining this club. He asked if I was trying to lose more weight and I said I wanted to tone more than anything. It went down hill from there.

Oh well, I am going. I do know that this is a form of an eating disorder. I do have fears of going to far. I want to do this for many reasons but in the back of my mind I know I have the potiental of getting out of hand. But one step at a time.

I feel so depressed right now, maybe this will help. Not sure. I have an appointment on Thursday with my t. I will see what he has to say.

*hugs* even if you do have an ED it is healthy to stay active. Lifting weights is a wonderful way to tone!
