To Rapunzel- yes a social group helps and I guess work is not the place to build the skills from the ground up. The "cats out of the bag" at work so I'm not hiding that I'm on disability for mental illness (the coworker is a gossip) BUT I got a Christmas card from my boss thanking me for all my hard work and looking forward to the next season! I think he's saying w/o saying that he values me as an employee and doesn't care what's been said! I did have a group I attended that moved out of the hospital building that was within walking distance, now they're in the same county but too far away to be practicle. I've never been in a chat room before so you all are my first impression and very positive. To SkyBdark- I posted one that I think I did wrong and maybe sent to a personal box? because I don't know how to keep talking to General Post unless you start a new subject- so I thank you for pointing out that you missed something while also being kind enough to reply. I am sticking around for 2 reasons 1: it helps to process a problem just by putting it into words that will be heard and I can then hear myself 2: I want also to reciprocate by offering my thoughts to others . I'm glad I took the chance to join this group on this site. Oh yeah- yesterday one post suggested depression could contribute to feeling like quitting job and I think that's part of it- but it's the chicken and the egg dilema (maybe depression made me willing to over-confide in another person because that felt like a relief. The pressure clouds the vision.

Good to see you're staying! Thank you for your compliment. Thank you 4 the welcome-new hope 4 new year

I'm unsure of what you had problems with in posting, let us know and someone will be able to explain it.

{There are two ways to reply to a post, like yours above: one is to use the box under the last post "Quick Reply" and the other way is to click on Reply in the upper right corner of the post. The latter way is best if the thread (all the posts under the same Main line) has a few different ideas going, you can click on the Reply tab on the post of the member you wish to directly respond to. The post still ends up at the end of the thread, but it will have the other member's s/n there. Always click on Continue when you're all done replying.)

You know how to make a new post, you just did it FINE! If you wish to post in another area, Click on Main Index, then click on the line of the forum you wish to post in... you can read the other's threads, or like here, create your own. Use the Index within the forum to see a list of all the threads available.

OH! I just remembered... there are different ways to view and I don't know which way a new member automatically comes into psychcentral set up (default) but I think it's the way I just said. (You can change things for your personal stuff by going to MY PROFILE above, and then EDIT preferences ..3 areas there. SIGH DocJohn has SOOOO much for us to play with here LOL)

PMs are another matter. Private messages are different in chat and in the main forum page area. Let me know if you have questions, OK?

Again, welcome!

Thank you 4 the welcome-new hope 4 new year

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
