((((((((((((((((Jen)))))))))))))))) I'm extremely happy to see you working through this.

I got to work on time every day this week.
I turned in my paperwork everyday this week.
I started therapy on Monday.
I set some boundaries for my dad.
I cleaned my house.
I paid my bills early.
I spent time with my ex working on our friendship.
I decided to quit drinking.
I cut back on smoking.
I started excercising again.

This is a great idea Jen. Thanks.

Good for you, CCL. All the things that you accomplished sound wonderful -- and even more wonderful is your recognition and praise for yourself. I think that must be how positive self-image starts -- by watering and growing it with our own recognition for our accomplishments. So long as we are turning outward for validation, it can never be positive self image.

I'd also like to mention that I think that the Kudos and Affirmations thread fills the need to state our accomplishments (kudos for ourselves) and get praise (affirmations). It might be a more interesting Forum????

Keep going, CCL! This is an inspiring post.

ya i was thinking of putting this in kudos, but it fills up too fast with hugs... and this thread would get lost in the bottom or on the next page and never seen......

i hope the mods keep it in here, cuz a lot of people (like me) dont even go into the kudo forum, and cuz all our accomplishments can be looked at and seen by all here in general. positive accomplishments

Gold star for me today:

- I got out of my pajamas
- I took my dog for a 10 minute walk (really cold tho)
- I folded all the laundry that I had done two weeks ago that I had let pile up while I was sobbing in bed
- I made dinner me and my Mom (and am actually gonna eat it when she gets home!)

Sounds silly, but it's not to me.

Major gold star for getting out of your jammies...I stayed in mine all day yesterday and didn't get out of bed unless to go potty or eat.

I finally talked with the girl who lives next door for the first time in almost two years she's been there. She didn't mind at all. For me, thats a big step.

Wow, great thread. Fantastic idea.
Congrats to everyone. When you're having any kind of emotional trouble whether chemical or situational, it's so hard to get up and get going. Been there, so everyone should pat themselves on the back and take a bow. Well done, everyone!!
Sometimes inertia will take care of itself. Once you start, sometimes you can't stop. I hope everyone stays motivated and keeps moving forward.
Be proud, dance with yourselves, dance with someone else positive accomplishments, just be proud!!. !!Woo hoo!!

Hi. I'll join in this.

I got dressed every day this week - showered just about every day (one day I had to let caulking dry). I didn't do the caulking though.
I've been wearing a little make up to perk myself up.
I set up a dentist appointment for my husband.
I worked on putting clothes away.
I spent some quality time with my puppy.
I did some working with weights today - 10 minutes.

Ok, here's mine, wasn't even sure what I accomplished so had to really think about it.

1. I went to pdoc appt even though we argued the whole time
2. Went to the bank
3. Went grocery shopping
4. Picked up a ton of prescriptions
5. Registered for a new group therapy, which starts Monday
6. I'm still alive

Congratulations to everybody. You've all done such a fantastic job this week.
