Hi there.
Been trying to balance out medication, and my doctor keeps suggesting alternative therapies. She suggested massage therapy or acupuncture. Unfortunately I am not financially stable enough to pay for these, so I have not tried them. I've been meaning to call and ask my health insurance company if I have any coverage for massage. So my questions are-- Do you guys have any alternative therapies that work for you? I'm struggling with high stress, anxiety, and depression. Does your insurance offer any reimbursement for these therapies? |

My insurance covered acupuncture for pain although I told the acupuncture doc it was depression, only want twice since it was so time consuming and hurt, so I didn't really see a benefit.

I use meditation as a alternative therapy It's easy to do and works very well for me. Best of all it's free! Go to your local library and check out a couple books on the subject and get started. I try for 15-30 minutes a day. It works wonders for me.
