That seems like a lot of serotonin. Doc signed off on it all?

No I have to talk to my psychiatrist later about it. I don't think he'll agree with the possible acute risk of serotonin syndrome so I might have to stop a few idk

Right now I'm feeling a bit mentally uncomfortable and sad i guess idk I was ok this morning but just started the concerta again i guess its a concerta crash.

Yeah definitely talk to him. I'm sorry you're not feeling too well. I hope it gets better! It looks like you take a lot of psych meds have you tried other alternatives like TMS for example?

Be careful on the Kava Kava, it's known to cause liver toxicity for some people. You'll definitely want to get your liver function checked every few months, and limit/avoid alcohol.

Let us know how it works out.

I would be a little worried about the Prozac, 5HTP, and St Johns Wort at the same time.

As far as the various supplements that you are taking (calcium, magnesium, zinc, 5-HTP and fish oil (source of essential fatty acids)) are concerned, dietary deficiencies in them are rare.

You might find it helpful to talk with a dietitian.

Dietitians are evidence-based health professionals - one of them will be able to review what you eat and (if indicated) suggest changes to what you eat which will ensure that you get adequate levels of the nutrients which you are currently taking as supplements.

I take the magnesium for the jaw clenching that comes with concerta. Idk if its working ill give it a month

The extra serotonin seems to make my jaw clench regardless like when i take DXM. But i wouldnt take that on top of what im taking.

I talk to my psychiatrist on the 13th ill see what he says.

Yeah the serotonin will do that. It made me clench pretty bad. Then on top of that I was on Ritalin which also caused clenching. So I know how you feel. I had to eliminate both due to this side effect unfortunately. It caused bad TMJ syndrome. Watch out for that.

Hi Zehr,

There's a book by Dr. Mark Hyman that you might like

The UltraMind Solution: Fix Your Broken Brain by Healing Your Body First: M.D. Mark Hyman: 9780743570480: Amazon.com: Books

that has quizzes and specific recommendations for supplements as well as diet depending on the answers. I like Andrew Weil's stuff also. Both have lots of advice on the web as well.

ZehR. After your other post there are a few things I would advise.
Get totally rid of-
Tylenol 1
Advil
Pseudo ephedrine
Diphenhydramine
DMX

Take the Concerta EXACTLY as prescribed.

You have some very immediate issues that need to be addressed ASAP.

So I haven't been taking my supplements since that concerta incident. My concerta has been increased to 72mg. I'll start taking my supplements again tomorrow and my next concerta script next week I'll take as prescribed

I like DXM though to boost my mood in small 250mg doses but I'll try not to. My mom told the liquor store not to serve me anymore so I was kind of going towards that.
