I'm working on my first batch of homemade doggie treats. they smell delicious! I'm going to have a hard time keeping my 2 year old from getting into them. I'm sure my doggies are going to enjoy them. It's overwhelming how many recipes you can find online! I had to narrow it down to simple ones that I have all the ingredients for. I can't wait to have my taste testers have at it.

And see the world without your sorrow
Where no one knows the pain you left behind
And all the peace you could never find
Is waiting there to hold and keep you
Welcome to the first day of your life

Just open up your eyes as I lay you down tonight
Safe on the other side
No more tears to cry
Thanks for this!

My taste testers would give two thumbs up, if they had thumbs.

I think its wonderful you're making your own dog treats and they're most likely so much healthier too. Ever since my dog had surgery to remove bladder stones, she's has to be on a medicated vet kibble and nothing else. We took her for a check up and they have medicated treats so at least she has something that seems like a treat. We used to give her a small amount of people food but we can't do that anymore. Good for you and I'm glad your dogs gave you the paws up approval.

That is awesome.... I make the "Garlick & Cheese" they are so good...! YUM

What kind are you making?

That way you know what is in them and if YOU can eat them then that is also good.

I dont' remember what they're called, I'd have to dig out the recipes. I made two different kinds, one with wheat germ that's rather soft, and then some boneshaped peanut butter ones with oatmeal in them, those are crunchy. Both kinds are a huge hit with my doggies.

I'm making these for the first time right now:

Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

It looks like a great recipe because everything is easily found in the home. My mom only buys natural peanut butter, and we just happened to have some on hand. I hope it's ok that I used regular white flour instead of wheat...otherwise, very easy!

That one is a lot simpler than the one I made. I saved it, I'm going to try that one next. Thank you for sharing!!
