Two dogs, one cat. No clean house, ever! I mean, it's their house too, and unless I want to exclude them from it, the house will never be tidy!
Doesn't matter how much I struggle and clean, it will be messed within a day of having them all inside! The glass doors and windows are all slobbered and sneezed upon; there is hair on the floors and furniture, pee and poop to clean up after the old blind dog (who is such a sweetie)....Last night Kitty threw up a hairball on my bed!
Ah...the joys of being a pet parent! (But they really are all so sweet!)

I empathize, seeker! I don't have but one pet now (our bird, Loki), but I've had several pets before and struggled to keep up. Try bringing one guinea pig home, only to have three a few days later because you found it delivering babies! The guinea pig cost $12.95, and I guess the store people didn't know it was pregnant (nor did I), and there I got a surprise. I already had two hamsters as well! I was heartbroken when I realized I had to give them up because it was too much. I only hope they had a good life in their new homes.

As for pet hair, I say, You got dogs, you got dog hair! Same about cats. And drool! It's unsanitary, but I'll take it anytime over not having animals in my life.

I have two dogs too. One was house trained in one month. She is two yrs old. Our ten month old puppy, we have been training since June and she seems to have just caught onto it. In the interim, we had guests and like you our rugs were filthy so I paid all this money to get them cleaned even though she was not trained yet. Of course she messed them up. Besides, the two of them track in dirt and/or mud every day. Right, so I too say, what is the use of my cleaning?!? I can totally relate to the joys of being a pet parent. -GC

Seeker, I go through periods where it seems the mess is never ending and I can't cope with it. The part about it being neverending is right. I consider it the price I pay for having the little devils. Most of the time I'm willing to pay the price, but there are times it overwhelms me.

I can definitely empathize! My dog is one and a half years old now, and no amount training and encouragement has gotten her potty trained. Even with just one animal it can sometimes seem overwhelming, I don't know how I kept up when I had eight cats and two dogs and a snake and a pet rat.

What about getting an animal that eats feces and it's own feces as well.

What the heck would that be? Gross, that's what that would be! LOL! Maybe some dung beetles would be useful?

My dog does do this..and it is DISGUSTING! She has to be watched very carefully and any mess she makes has to be scooped up or cleaned up immediately. Such a gross little beast, doesn't make me love her less, but it does make me never want any doggy kisses. :P

I can see why! But we love them, anyway!
