I love my kitty Sammy to death, but I was ready to wring his black-furred, scrawny neck the other evening. Hubby and I were really engrossed in a murder movie (starring Sandra Bullock, who I really like as an actress). The movie was into the last five minutes, and the detectives were talking to a suspect. I was hanging on to my seat waiting to see what would happen. About that time Sammy decided to run behind the TV set and undo some wires. By the time Hubby got everything back to normal, the movie was over! Grrr. Hiss.

(I know. Just get a flatscreen for the wall, and I won't have this problem. But we have other ways we need to spend our money.)

What do your pets do that drive you up the wall?

On trash days, and only trash days, as soon as I start to gather it up around the house, the one dog has this high-pitched, incessant barking that pierces my ears and goes right through to my bones. I've never had a barker quite like this before and is not responding to anything to correct it. She doesn't do it other times when we go out and I have no idea what is so exciting for her, but I DREAD trash day now as much as she looks forward to it.

When the cats "follow from in front". They walk right in front of me where ever I go so I end up tripping over them. frustrating in the extreme

This sounds mean of me, but Al (the Lab) has gotten old and unwell. Most mornings I get up to pee and poop spread around the house. Much as I love him and am willing to care for him in his poor health starting my day by spending 20-30 minutes cleaning up the mess is not pleasant.

I wish my dog would stop eating poo. She is a lot better now than she used to be, but horse poo is still caviar to her. Plus she sometimes eats her own poo too.

A "cleans" the litterbox for me. Dogs eating nasty things is why I don't want them to lick me. I know what's been in their mouth and I don't want it on me.

lol... lets see... Chet is senile so he will stop eating his food and go start eating from another cats bowl and then they of course will finish his because he gets small portions and the food is better I suppose. Then he comes back to his now empty bowl and looks forlorn. Also he's very cling and want to be in my face... literally. That's annoying enough but he also drools now and it doesn't have a pleasing aroma. He's not long for this world so I make allowances and try not to get too annoyed.
That leads to Howie and Colonel Crusty. Howie likes to poop while I'm eating. I think he plans it. He has his own extra large litterbox in the bathroom but likes to use Chet's box in my room... on those special occasions. And he still likes to build sandcastles.
He also likes to knock things off just to get my attention.
And the C. He just refuses to groom properly. He has butt cicles. And he just plain smells.
None of that annoys me half as much as the neighbor's damned chihuahuas. I think all the neighbors around are on their last nerves with those little rats.

My dog will want outside until I open the door and she sees it's raining, then she's like "Nope" and turns around and walks off. You can hear it's raining, and see it's raining, so why ask out if you don't want to go in the rain!

That reminds me of a friend's cat. When the cat wants to go out and the front door is opened and he sees it's raining, he goes to the other door and tries it to see if it's raining outside of that door too

Have y'all read "the Door Into Summer" by Robert Heinlien? The main character has a cat that goes from door to door in the house looking for the door into summer during the winter.

Callie, who is also not long for this world can be clingy. There are nights I come home exhausted and stressed and just want to be left alone. It's kind of like cleaning up after Al. I remind myself that I will miss her when she's gone. Still I'm human and need/want my own time sometimes.

My mom's dog, Princess, likes to try to trip me. She lives in the back of the house. She gets the back room to herself and the hallway. As well as the bathroom. My room is in the back of the house, too. We live in a relatively small house, and she's 35 lbs. So, often, when I try to go to my room, she is under my feet. And trying to, inadvertently, trip me.

My dog, Sandy, paws at my face. SHe never gives traditional kisses. Just 'love paws'. And it hurts (the paw pads rub against your skin). She, also, likes to bother me when I'm doing yoga. She'll often climb on my chest during certain poses. lol

My mom's dog, Meepster, when he wants attention from me... will go to her and stare at her. Until she tells him to go to me. It's cute, but at the same time, kind of annoying. :P

The only truly annoying thing he does is wash himself right next to me in the early hours and so wakes me up with his clicking and moving. If he wakes me up and I complain `ah hey you woke me up' he actually gets off the bed and carries on on the floor, when finished cuddles back up. Smart huh. I swear hes reading my mind.`

When we have gone away in my truck & come home....I have Leo on a leash so he won't run off & chase my neighbor's cows & then I won't have to chase him.....but anyway....he's right there with me at the front door while I'm trying to get my keys into the lock & get the door open....he barks continuously.....it's like he thinks his barking is the magic keep to getting the door open & without barking the key won't work.

If I go down stairs & forget to gate off my computer room, Leo (or maybe it's Tawny) get into the grocery bag & use for trash, trying to find anything they can eat (even after they have just eaten their bowls full of food).....the grocery bag ends up in shreds & they leave trash strewn all over the floor of the computer room. Only problem...I'm usually running late & went down to the kitchen to take care of things that I needed to get done before I leave....& I'm usually running late in the first place.....so I end up REALLY late.

When I'm eating Charlie thinks it is time for him to eat, even when he has just ate, when I am eating dinner. This is a problem. And a new one and one I hope he grows out of soon.

My dog does a lot of annoying things, but she's so cute it's hard to stay mad at her lol She likes to lick things, people, everything. She especially likes licking the sofa, bed, blankets, etc. I've read that it could be caused by anxiety, but I don't know how to treat that for a dog.
Poor thing, she has anxiety like her mommy!

My brother's cat Giavanna loves me so much it's like she wants me to be part of her. Even though she's about 8 she will STILL try to suckle on me anywhere she can find skin(usually my arm). She will lunge at my face and bite my chin then try to suckle on it. If she manages to sneak into my room she hides until I go to bed. I get comfy then suddenly I have a cat trying to knead me to death and lie on my face. I can't even go pee or shower without her following me and watching me. I'm very standoffish and not highly affectionate so this frustrates me to no end. I know she can't really help it and is just trying to love me in her own way but

My Kitty sometimes had a mad half hour running up and down the stairs, jumping on the bed, trying to climb inside the suitcase next to the bed and clawing the carpet and this always takes place in the middle of the night!

Ok.....Last week was the tops of all my aggrivations. It was too hot for me to take my dogs in the car.....so I left the gate across the top stairs.....but they pushed their way through & both Leo & Tawny were down at the door when I got home......I had a lot going on that night & it wasn't until late the next morning that I noticed that the remaining d-con from my winter demousing my house was ALL gone.

The problem.....neither dog looked sick.....couldn't tell which dog if either got into it or weather the field mice were back in with all the fields being mowed now.......I had plans that took me away from home all afternoon after I realized that this could be a serious problem......

Ended up calling the vet the next morning & taking BOTH in to have bloodwork done......as it effects the liver & kidneys & causes the blood to NOT clot.....& this was about 1 1/2 days later.

My thinking was to have Leo's blood tested first as I just finished paying for his last vet bill when he OD'ed on semi-sweet chocolate chips & had to be treated with charcoal.....so obviously HE would be my first suspect.......however nothing showed up in his blood....so we tested Tawny & sure enough.....she was the culprit that got into it.....my little angel dog was not such an angel this time.......so for the next month....it's vitimin K1 pills every 12 hours.....& another recheck in 2 weeks to see how she's doing along with constant monitoring for any internal bleeding that might show up.

First pill I gave her went down.....the second one....I found a few hours later laying on the floor.....grrrrrrr.

Dogs can get into more crap...they are just like some kids & worse than others........& both of these guys love to get themselves into trouble & of course....cost me vet bills to the max.
