Good article.. I have one cat that loves cuddles and if you not holding him/petting him then he is sitting beside you with at least one paw touching you, where as the other boy only comes for head n chest rubs when he feels like it (not very often) and my girl is a complete miss priss who basically you can only rub her under the chin or if you're lucky a sneaky 2 min belly rub before she walks off in a huff.... as for offending them, well you should see the look of disgust I get when I sit on their "water bowl" (even though they have a few different water stations all over the house they still prefer to drink from the darn toilet!!

To most cats, your mere presence is offensive. Remember, they regard themselves as gods and they expect you to cater to their will. Yes, they expect you to open the door because they want out but perhaps not, maybe you can close it, they'll meow to let you know they want out again, but once the door opens again ehhhh they'll decide on sitting on your computer for warmth.

Jokes aside, I am a good mommy to Evy and I know her very well. I know when she gets irritated or lonely and I can sense what she wants whether she wants to be cuddled or if she wants to just chill in my room.

But then again, with cats you don't have to touch their poop. You can just take the whole box and dump it. That's what I don't like with dogs. You have to clean up after them by taking a plastic bag and grab their poop and it's all warm and squishy and smells rotten. I've only done that once with my dog and I threw up from the smell and the whole ordeal of grabbing their poop. Maybe it would be different with a smaller dog? My dog is a big dog so big smelly poops. |

As soon as I come in from being to the shops` or elsewhere, `Mogsey` follows` me everywhere! She evens` scratches` the bathroom door to get in when I am on the throne!!!

Hi LiteraryLark.
We had a dog once, my daughters` reject!! (Yorkshire Terrier called Peppi) We would leave the dog in the kitchen while me and the miss`us would go to work every morning. When on arrival back to the house several hours` later, the kitchen looked like a war-zone ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yeah, I think overall that cats tend to be less "trouble" than dogs, although I like them both. I find it amazing how much cats can differ--personalities! The one we have now is pretty laid back. I don't know that I've ever seen him lose his temper.
