I've found that cats do need attention. They're not exactly the loners people sometimes think. In the wild they usually have other cats around for playing with and even grooming. Somewhere I read that they see humans as other cats. Sometimes I serve as a playmate to my cat and sometimes as his mother!

My cat picked a fight with my mother last night, it was a clue that he wanted some attention. Got out the mice and started throwing them around so he could case em. Did the feather dancer for a bit too and he got his frustration out and calmed down. Sometimes he like a two year old, mom, mom, mom, mom....what, nothing, mom, mom, mom, mom, what, nothing.
