I have to laugh because first thing every morning I take Cote for his morning walk around the farm to run off some of the penned up energy from over night. He finds huge sticks to play & run with & play keep away with. Lots of fun, lots of energy. He drug a huge limb over 5 ft long all the way across my back field & up the side along my woods. That was his first kind of entertainment. Now he dug up a brick & then brick pieces. He paws at them like digging up dirt then backwards rolls them across the field barking at the brick all the way. He finds the most interesting ways to entertain himself & me.

I just totally stayed home yesterday cause I was tired & just wanted to spend time with my fur babies. Cote decided that he can hold the toy in his mouth & verbally ask me to play with him. He has a cute little soft growly bark way of asking. Know it cause it is when I turn my head away from him that he vocalized at me to get my attention.

He is the most fun & loving puppy I have totally been able to enjoy. I had no idea that Aussie Shepherds were such talkers. We carry on some amazing conversations.

He is so good.....he has "come" down perfectly no matter what he is doing or how distracted his mind is (especially with the cows across the road) I wish he had a few other commands down as well but it is still WIP.

I am so attached to this amazing puppy & his personality bubbles all over the place. He was so happy to see the UPS man & greet him the other day in the driveway & he was so good in all his excitement.

Lol....this may be TMI.....but Cote thinks the best time for him to hug & love me & get his hugs & loves is when he has me as a captive audience in the bathroom. I have never had a puppy who loves giving & receiving hugs & kisses more than this boy. He will come running for them.

Definitely a breed full of energy who will definitely keep me in good shape the rest of my life. He does ok on leash but he loves to explore off leash & is so amazing at comming when called I enjoy our walks without a leash & save it for only when necessary. He has to much curiosity to be bound by a leash on my farm.

He is a great guard dog too. Neighbors had some workers on their house the other day & he noticed & let me know. He was going to investigate but came immediately when I called.

Still amaized between the natural difference between my beloved eskie breed & the Aussie & am so enjoying my new boy. He keeps me laughing constantly.

Dogs are awesome! My German shepherd is 10 years old now but he still acts like a puppy sometimes. He likes to throw his toys up in the air and catch them. He will literally play catch by himself for ages.

Eskie, I love reading your stories about Cote. The stories themselves are great, plus I get my Aussie fix. They are such wonderful dogs.
