Here's the transript of the conversation...if it pleases the court.

Lily: Daddy, there's a bunny out side
Noah:yeah, can we keep him daddy
Lion: Yeah, sure kids if you can catch him you can keep him, hehe
5 minutes later
Lily: Daddy look, we caught the bunny, I'm holding him
Noah : Daddy you said we could keep him right?
Lion: I uhhhh

ladies & gentlemen of the court I assert that I was mis led by these diobolical little grimlins a.k.a. my twins. They never said it was a BABY bunny...thus my verbal contract should be null & void

what say the court

Then make your stew out of squirrels

Oh, and you should go to the vet and make sure he's healthy and not covered in fleas and tics and stuff. You never know what the little guy might have caught out there! Though, I'm sure he's fine, safety first!

Just tell the other lions having a little fluffy and cute friend comes in handy when you get thorns in your paws

OMFG! I can not believe you are in here whining about how YOU ended up with Gilbert. Perhaps SOMEDAY you will get up and LOOK, ie pay attention when your darling twins talk to you instead of just yeah uhhu them when they talk to you so this cute little critter is our new house mate!

He doesn't have flee's I have looked very carefully. He can't be more than 2 mo old so there's barely a chance of him being sick but I am going to take him to the vet, Monday. He's up moving around in his cage so thats good. He's much happier when the kids are in bed...they are WAAAAYYY too noisy

excuse me now i have to go beat a pouty lion with a news paper.......

awww =)

Well ... I guess a vet trip is in order?

I've owned 2 bunnies before. Good news - they are pretty easy to care for, they can be LITTER TRAINED! Yes,... litter trained. Start the bunny early on it, get it a box, and move its poop to the box and it can learn.

Make sure to get a mix of foods for it... also don't forget the salt/mineral lick, this is very important and not too expensive at a pet store.

*Just dunno how much you know about bunnies*

haha you two!

I vote for the bunny having a home with you. Is he a wild bunny or was he possibly from someones pets? you may want to be careful when around the children if its a wild bunny as it could be more likely to bite.

Sounds like hes doing really well though. and dont worry, rabbits dont live even close to 20 years lol. Your looking at 8 or so at the very most. Even thats a stretch for a rabbit. but it will be long enough to bring your kids into teenhood lol.
Thanks for this!

He was in the back yard, I think he somehow got seperated from his mom. He was weak enough for a four year old to catch him...but after a couple days he's hopping all over the place....He couldn't have been this active when Lily caught him! I can't even catch him when he jumps down my shirt!! Which he seems to like...

"you can keep them if you can catch them has always been my line"...I'm USUALLY pretty safe with that. Logan caught a frog a few years back but that's the only other time that came back to bite me...

what worries me now is that I've always told Bearchic that she can have a monkey if she finds one walking down the street...

Now, I'm looking out my windows for monkeys!!!

Sad news Gilbert lovers, took him to the vet today and was told that it is illegal to keep a wild bunny. We must take him to a rehabilitation place for him to be set free when he's ready. Breaks our little hearts...............soooooooooo I did what any loving mother would do in the face of breaking her childrens hearts.......I bought them another bunny that we CAN have. this is a girl bunny, she's 6-9weeks old and already tons bigger then gilbert. She is pure white with red eyes. Her Name is Trixie BunBun after the cereal commercial with th bunny trying to get trix all the time. She is VERY affectionate and will let us hold her for ever. I'll get a picture of her tomorrow to show you. I have to Drop poor gilbert off at 2pm...I hope he's gonna be OK poor little stinker..............

Somehow I am not surprised about Gilbert... he does look like a wild bunny. I hope he manages to survive out there again by himself. But yay for another bunny.... be forewarned, bunnies are hard to take care of.

Great info: http://www.petinfopackets.com/rabbit...nfopacket.html

Thanks for the info. We took him to wild bunny rehab. There is something kind of funny about people trying to teach a bunny how to be a bunny....I just picture people wearing easter costumes judging his hops like you migtht judge a diving competion
Thanks for this!
