I just purchased this from Amazon because I'm tired of being tired. I can't exist this way anymore. I'm in desperation mode so I'm going to try this workbook:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/093...ls_o00_s00_i02

Anyone wanna try it with me? We could perhaps get some discussions going and support one another. Any thoughts?

There are binge eating/eating disorder forums out there. I just joined because I definitely could use it! Idk about buying the book at this time either, but that's simply because this is something I've never really confronted. I need to dip my toe in the water...
Thanks for this!

If anyone out there doesn't want to buy it check to see if your local library has it. You can also do an inter-library loan if your library doesn't have it. And it's FREE

I know how you feel, misskeena. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to healing, right?

And i think the library idea is great, geez. XD i feel so silly for not having thought of it before.

(((Line))) no need to feel silly at all. I didn't know that the library did inter-library loans until a few years ago. I've read many books that way and love it. The ones that I find are of very high value I purchase (not many).

I would love to do this with someone. I almost bought this book today when I was at Barnes & Noble picking up some other books on overeating. I have to go that way tomorrow and will pick it up if you want to get started! I am just now trying to start figuring out why I binge eat and how to turn this around. I have several things that I am trying and I am just trying to gather as much information as I can.

I will look for a post from you and we can figure out how we want to do this. I am so glad I saw your post.

geez: I got the workbook this afternoon. I am feeling under the weather today so I am going to take it easy tonight. I thought we could look through the first chapter and come up with a plan as to how we are going to do this. Do you want to discuss this on the boards or would you want to do this privately? I am open either way. It's possible we could help someone else with our discussions. If we hit upon anything that makes either of us comfortable to discuss on the boards we can always go private.

I had to see my pdoc after I picked up the book. I took the pre-assessment test while waiting on her. Things appear a bit troublesome!! But pdoc was impressed that I was trying to work on this. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow and can give some good input. Let me know your thoughts. Have a good evening.

(((IMS))) so happy that you bought the book!!! I think discussing the book on this thread would be great!

I showed this book to my T a few months ago and started it but I think it would be helpful to have someone to discuss it with who's actually doing the exercises.

I should also say that if at any point the exercises are too much or overwhelming then I think it's important (not a requirement) to discuss this with a therapist.

I'm in therapy for trauma CPTSD but of course food is my 'drug' so I'm trying to proactive.

Chat more later! Going for a run!

geez: I am getting a late start on my workbook today. I am going to work on chapter 1 right now and will post something after I finish or first thing in the morning.
I'm still trying to catch up from feeling so yucky the past few days.

Btw: did you really go for a run at 5:00am? You go girl!!!

I was up at 5 am to run for 6:15 like I am now.

How about we give a target date of Friday 7/27 for a completion date for chapter one. I have finished chapter one and will post about it later today if not by Friday.

Feel better soon!

Hi! I have my book on hold in light of what's been going on with me the last few days but Iwould love to start a discussion. What questions did you find difficult to answer in chapter 1?

I'm still doing this :-) I haven't gone to far ahead because I want to move along with others in the book. Tiger how is it going for you? Any particular questions or sections that you've found difficult?
