I just bought these 3 books from amazon - my therapist got called away because of a family emergency and I've been having a harder time that I thought I would. I thought that I should get some of these and see which one I'll work through on my own. I can let you know how they are after I get them if you want?

1- The Binge Eating and Compulsive Overeating Workbook: An Integrated Approach to Overcoming Disordered Eating (The New Harbinger Whole-Body Healing Series)
2- Finding Your Voice Through Creativity: The Art and Journaling Workbook for Disordered Eating
3- The Mindfulness and Acceptance Workbook for Bulimia: A Guide to Breaking Free from Bulimia Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (New Harbinger Self-Help Workbook)
Thanks for this!

I have put the book down for a little while as I have been doing some EMDR along with talk therapy and I must say I've had a break through over the last few weeks! I know why I binge eat (well sorta). I was able to consciously see myself and what I was doing and thinking in the moment. I haven't gotten to the core of my emotions yet however I have been able to distinctly see when I eat to 'fill an empty hole' and when I eat because I feel unidentified feelings/emotions stirring and I'm afraid to feel them so I stuff them down with food frantically.
