This is my first post. I've never been on a forum before. I'm just looking for people I can talk to without feeling ashamed. Because I feel so much shame about the quantities I eat! Any "normal" person would be disgusted if they knew, I guess.

Welcome hary! You're in good company. I too experience the guilt, shame, remorse, and disgust over my behaviors with food. I'm seeking recovery right now, working really hard at it. I dream that one day I'll have freedom from the cycle.
I hope you get what you need here. I know that, although I have numerous supports in my life here, the forums have been wonderful for me. Lots of understanding people. Keep coming back and posting.

I know how you feel, I feel disgusted when I binge. It is extremely difficult to explain to others and share.

I only joined this month too.

I hope you get support and people who will listen.

I posted up a situation where I had binge while watching a Rugby game over the weekend…I described it as emotional eating because we started losing the match and I started getting really low,I know that probably sounds stupid but I have BPD also and amextremely emotional…can you relate?

Anyway the comments I received back were basically…hurtful and flippant.

I am not impressed at all.

Hugs

I have noticed in any forum that some people are more blunt than others.....I don't perceive that they mean to be hurtful. Some folks are more sensitive in how they phrase their responses than others.

Hary, just to reiterate my last post again…you will indeed find a very supportive community here on PC. I apologise if I put you off! I have made lots of friends here and people have offered me a listening ear and I only joined this month too! So, know that you are not alone.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
