Oh dear my eating has gone way off line. I was doing well before Xmas and I guess like many people I totally over did it. Way too much bad stuff has left me feeling gross.
Does anyone else find when they are stressed they just want to eat something sugary? In the uk we had some bad storms over Xmas and new year and I've lost a fair big chunk out of my roof. Just had a guy round to do a quote and he says it's still dangerous as some more of the tiles are loose and could hit someone, the last lot.narrowly missed the post lady! So have been onto insurance company blah blah and now my adrenalin is rushing and I so want to go to the biscuit tin! I have fibromyalgia and stress is really bad for me. Thought I would come on here and write a post instead of eating. I feel like crying that I can't have the fix I need.

Yes I binge/purge to cope with stress, especially sugary or starchy stuff like pastries/cereal. Im glad u chose to post here instead of succumbing to eating. Keep doing this; when u feel like bingeing, instead of eating , replace that activity with posting on pc.

Hope u r feeling better

Guess I'm different...when I'm stressed, I can't eat. I totally lose my appetite.
I'd suggest to cope with stress try some good non-food things...have a nice cup of tea in a pretty cup, take a nice hot bubble bath, go for a walk, listen to some nice music.
Thanks for this!

When ever I get the least stressed out I binge eat. I don't even know what is causing me to stress or binge eat. I tried to reduce my caloric intake once and it made me physically ill.

From what I understand, from a chemically addictive stand point, the majority of large food companies use salt/sugar/fat. That combination almost never fails to cause binging. When I get very emotional I buy a huge cupcake. So, I figure I'm a stress Eater.

Back again, thanks for your replies, hasn't been a great few days buti am eating a lot less than I was over Xmas which is a start. Have been totally freaked out this morning by the news, they are going on about obesity and how half of all adults in the UK will be obsese by 2050. Similar in America I'm guessing. They also said you could die ten years earlier than you should if you are obese. I'm not obese buti am overweight. I feel like I've got to do something and not keep poisoning myself with sugar, this has all got to stop!
Also is there a a forum on here for skin picking? I'm afraid I do that too really badly around my thumbs and feet.
