Hi
I manage my binge eating. It doesn't ever go away. I just keep it under control by not buying those things I would binge on. Or if I do buy them, buy them only in the amount I can handle eating.

Except now that the cold weather is upon us, where I live, I have started drinking hot chocolate in copious amounts. aka addictive drinking of hot chocolate.

I would not have a problem with it if my digestive system was in good shape. In fact it is very bad. The hot chocolate is not only stopping any progress with healing it. But is making it worse. And it is dangerously bad to begin with.

The hot chocolate is made from amazing gourmet cocoa powder, fat free unsweetened almond milk, water and stevia. Cooked on the stove. it warms me. And it tastes delicious. It also gives me a reason to want to wake up in the morning. But it is making me really sick. Or is impeding any possible healing of the GI system.

I am looking for suggestions. I gave away the bag of cocoa powder. Then 2 days later bought more. I do not relate to OA. Because of the steps. I am too shame based to do them. any suggestions would be so gratefully appreciated. I need to stop making myself sick just for this amazing gratification. Thank you. Sending light to you

Try bigelow decaf chai tea prepared with water only? Also I have found chocolate and chocolate mint teas. I am not really a tea drinker. I am a cocoa addict myself. I try to limit myself to one, maybe 2 cups a day, made with maxwell house instant mocha latte, vanilla caramel latte, and a bit of folgers decaf to pretend I'm actually drinking coffee. T teased me the other day about drinking candy. His coffee is so bitter and so strong! I had a very short cup of it once - it smells so good! - but it kept me awake for two nights!! No wonder he sleeps very short hours.

But these teas are pretty good. Also crystal light has some new flavors - mojito, appletini, and margarita! I have only had the mojito but it is yummy! Or should I say jummy?! It is important to stay hydrated in the winter.

haha thanks for the laugh. I loved reading about your coffee latte drinks. Sounds like I would like it.

I will try the bigelow tea. I am not a tea drinker. But I will try anything at this point. I do have some dandyblend in the house. But thats boring. Carob powder fake hot chocolate is terrible. I do not use sugar or equal. so I will try to tea you suggested. Thanks. It would be amazing if I actually liked it. I do like celestial seasonings fruity teas. But they are no match for my cocoa. Thanks again for the suggestion. I hope it works.
Thanks for this!

how come the hot chocolate is making you sick? the way your making it sounds really healthy. Are you slightly allergic to chocolate or something?

I drink probably too many flavored waters, like vitamin water and those giant powered zero bottles..I used to be a huge tea drinker and celestial seasonings makes really good tea.

Also decaf coffee and stevia is really good if you want something hot, but if cocoa powder makes you sick than coffee probably would too. Sometimes its good to mix protein powder with water and microwave it. (it doesn't come out chunky if you mix it into a paste then add hot water to it) I like to make coffee that way and it gets foamy like a latte without the sugar!

anyway lol I just said a whole bunch of random stuff- I don't know how helpful that was.

im not sure where u live, but theres a chain tea store called teavana i go to that has delicious teas, you can invest and buy some (theyre a bit expensive) and some tea makers or pretty pots, and they all taste so good! there are some that are buds, and when you put it into water they blossom into beautiful flowers so its like you are drinking flower water hehe.. although expensive it could be a fun hobby to collect teas and turn your hot cocoa addiction into a fun tea addiction :P
