Hello everyone. I'm Jessica. I'm 24, and I've been experiencing some issues with overeating. I've been gaining weight in increments of 20 pounds, and I can't seem to get it off once I'm carrying it. It all started when I was in an abusive situation with my ex, and I've been overeating since.
When we were together, I overate quite a bit. But even then, I still wasn't over eating at night. Now, I'm snacking at all hours of the night, and I've tried drinking bottles of water mixed with fiber to curb my appetite and everything. I've slowed down some, but I'm still finding myself hungry at late hours. Sometimes I wonder if I eat out of boredom, but I'm not sure. I've been eating more salads and grilled chicken, and more fruits. I've even checked into my meds to see if any of them induce hunger, and all I've found is that one of them actually, possibly curbs your appetite. Does anyone have some tips on how to curb overeating? How can I stop myself from snacking? |

I have been really bingeing from 8 to midnight...I typically don't eat during the day...I haven't for years...but before I would eat a normal meal for dinner and that was it...now I am shoveling in the food like there is no tomorrow. I have gained 7 pounds in the last month. I did start a new med and also am trying to quit smoking. so what I am trying to do is be conscious of my calorie intake. I am still eating like crazy but I have bought low calorie snacks and food and plan out my eating for the night to not go over 1200 calories. so far I have lost 3 pounds this week so it is working. instead of mindlessly eating half a can of pringles, I count out a serving of chips which is only 150 calories and eat them very slowly and savor them, really taste them. this has been more satisfying than when I was wolfing them down. I have really worked to be mindful of eating the snacks, paying attention when I eat, enjoying the flavor, and it has allowed me to go longer between eating and eating less at each serving so instead of eating two polish sausage really quick, I now take my time taking small bites and savoring one.

I have no excuse for not exercising other than the fact that I am really really lazy..i try to say that the rise in heart rate triggers my anxiety but people don't buy it

Hahahaha! That is such a silly reason! I don't think I would buy that either. But I'll admit.. I have been pretty lazy lately.
