as if i didn't have enough on my shopping list every week (and double that in a day), i've now become a fan of shortbread

love love love it and it's fastly becoming something i can see myself binging on on a regular bases

How about limiting the amount you buy? I'm the same way with ice cream so I keep a limited amount at home. If I stock up, that increases the chances of me bingeing.

this works to an extent

i seem to have a thing.. all or nothing

if their's 6 bags of biscuits in stock, i need all 6- or none at all

i can do it sometimes.. it's very hard

when i've been ordering pizzas, i've been trying to tell myself- okay, you just need the pizza. you don't need the chicken wings, you don't need the garlic bread... you don't need the soft drink- they are luxuries

but still end up buying it

I have come to the conclusion that it's best for me not to have too much of binge food at home. It's because this is where I do most of my eating. If I want something besides regular meals I allow myself to have it at times but only get one container or pkg of whatever it is; candy bar, pt. of ice cream, ice cream sundae, etc. It's easier not to binge when there's little binge food at home.

I don't know where I get it from either. I just get by one day at a time and not try to figure out what I'm doing in more than one day. It is easier that way. I struggle too to be sure... I had a small pizza the other night. At least I didn't have a large or xtra large. lol. The med I take has helped a lot-Topomax. it has made my appetite back to near normal, really!! yes!!

I definitely relate to this! ...and I don't even have an ED. 'o.O I always try to buy only what I need, bar a few treats. What has helped me for a few months now is to cook nearly every meal. I cook 1-2 times a day. Shortbread isn't too difficult to make; you could make them far healthier.

I am out of the Topamax and won't have any until the 20th. Have been out of it for days but just today I really wanted to binge. don't feel too bad... we all slip up- and you have your excuse... that being the meds have run out
