I can't stand this anymore! I just couldn't make him stop. I had to call my hubby at work... during our conversation my son hurt me over and over again... my hubby had to get home from work too early to help me. My poor daughter was here in all this mess. I had to protect her... so I got all the kicks and blows....

he's 8 years old... has got Asperger's disorder. This was the worst thing ever happened! I couldn't reach him. His pupils were huge and oh so black! He just kept on hitting me...Saying hurtful words... He hit me so hard I cried... he just laughed at me. I tried to just hold him and say that I love him. I carried him to the shower, to cool him off and get him to calm down... but no. I feel so small... My entire body is red after the beating.

Nina,

I'm so sorry. I know how awful it can be.

You do have the knives hidden -- don't you?

My daughter struck me, but not to the extent Gustav is abusing you. My daughter cut me on one occasion, and on several other occasions I danced around the kitchen with her, when she grabbed a knife.

(((((((((((((((((((((((Nina))))))))))))))))))))

Love,

EJ

(((poetrylover)))) What have you tried with this child? I'm sorry I can't recall if you said already... </font><blockquote><div id="quote"><font class="small">Quote:</font>
There is no specific treatment or "cure" for Asperger's Disorder. All the interventions outlined below are mainly symptomatic and/or rehabilitational.

Psychosocial Interventions

Individual psychotherapy to help the individual to process the feelings aroused by being socially handicapped
Parent education and training
Behavioral modification
Social skills training
Educational interventions
Psychopharmacological Interventions

For hyperactivity, inattention and impulsivity: Psychostimulants (methyphenidate, dextroamphetamine, metamphetamine), clonidine, Tricyclic Antidepressants (desipramine, nortriptyline), Strattera (atomoxetine)
For irritability and aggression: Mood Stabilizers (valproate, carbamazepine, lithium), Beta Blockers (nadolol, propranolol), clonidine, naltrexone, Neuroleptics (risperidone, olanzapine, quetiapine, ziprasidone, haloperidol)
For preoccupations, rituals and compulsions: SSRIs (fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, paroxetine), Tricyclic Antidepressants (clomipramine)
For anxiety: SSRIs (sertraline, fluoxetine), Tricyclic Antidepressants (imipramine, clomipramine

Something more needs to be done, you can't continue to take this abuse (((hugs))

Sky... we are getting help... but not enough! We're waiting to get more support... but it takes time. We will see his psychologists tomorrow. He's in child therapy every monday. We're going to a meeting with several persons about my son and what to do, on thursday.
I've written some about my son having Asperger, here before....

Thanks everyone for your caring words!!!!!!!!

Nina - Oh my! I missed this thread. I am sorry.

You poor Mom - please know that this is absolutely not your fault!!! I do know just how much you love your children.

I don't really know what to say except that I really feel for you and I wish you, your son, and your family did not have to suffer with this.

All my thoughts are with you!

Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long.
