I ache and hurt physically everyday and I know it is affecting my depression. My doc is giving me pain meds but they just don't work. The more depressed I become the worse the pain is. I just can't afford to go to another doc because I only have medicare. Is anyone else having the same problem? Right now I am in agony. puckyj

hi pj ... mom is the one with the most pain, i get cramps and stiff muscles tho... can you do any stretching exercises.. you dont even have to get out of the chair for most...

anyway... i dont know your total physical condition and the doc does... was there any physical therapy? sorry if im way off..

when gram was recovering fro the stroke she tossed an air balloon in the air then slowly floating sdown she caught it... it really was a great exercise for her cause she used several motor and concentration skills at once and watching the balloon was downright fun.. we'd toss it back and forth to each other....

hope something there helps...

the more depressed I get, the worse the pain. Is there a reason you're in pain, or maybe it's because you're depressed it hurts more (which is what happens to me)?

yes i'm the same.... i had chronic pain for a while, which started my depression and the pain got worse so i got more depressed (doesn't help that ive had barely any relief from it in 3 years and still have no diagnosis of what it is). It's a vicious circle... your in agony, so you get depressed.... when youre depressed, the pain is more noticeable (depression can cause physical pain even if there's nothing wrong)

Push your hardest... go back and talk to your doctors, fill them in on and keep telling them how often, when and where you get pain until you get it sorted out, also it helps if you talk to a therapist.
I hope youre well soon... physical pain

Dont you hate it when you want to go to a doc or want a certain med but are brickwalled because of how much medical anything costs? With my new insurance I only get 6 paid trips to the doc. Its only march and Ive used just about all of them already. Not good not good not good!!!
