Hi,
I'm very upset. I have been serious with my BF for months and considering marriage and we were moving our stuff in together. He went off clozaral, and I helped him with the withdrawals, his cholesterol was so high he was in danger of a heart attack. His doc put him on clonopin. He changed one day out of the blue. He demanded I "give love" and he walked out, then came back, then left, then came back. We finally slept.when he woke up he screamed at me that I had BPD ( which I don't, I offered my psych and therapist's numbers to reassure him) he didn't want to know because "he just knew". He then left Christmas Eve, hasn't returned my calls, texts or emails. I recently found out he's lied about things and his ex emailed me to tell me the horror she went through. I'm so saddened because I loved him so much. We picked out rings the day before the fight. I can't understand how you could adore someone one day and cut them out completely the next. I tried to give his stuff back but he won't answer that. Is this normal for bipolar? Is he ever going to speak to me? Did he ever care? I'm lost without him and very hurt. Can anyone give insight? Is he gone for good? |

I need help. I've been with my Bf months now and all was wonderful. We were moving in together and planning a wedding. I knew he had bipolar and we were coping well. He went off clozaril and I stayed and nursed him though the withdrawals (his doc wanted him off because of dangerous cholesterol levels) Hus doc put him on cloapin for his anxiety. He was in therapy weekly. Christmas Eve he flipped out. He threatened to kill himself. Left, came home, left, came home...demanded I "show love" which I was. The stormed out, spent Christmas Eve and day alone. It's been 3 days, he's ignored my calls and texts, is this normal? Did I cause this? Will he ever come back? All of his belongings are with me. I don't know what to do. I'm so sad. Any help is appreciated.

Bipolar isn't a personality disorder, you may want to ask to have your thread moved to the caregivers, relationship or bipolar forum where you will undoubtedly receive some heartfelt feedback.
