Once again she has moved out and uprooted her children. It is like a revolving door around here. She lives here then moves out. Moves back then moves out again.
I know she's off her meds, I know she's manic, impulsive and making poor judgment calls. It's like she decides she wants to do something and just does it. So if staying with a friend is what she wants to do she does it. Luckily her children are not in school yet so that is not interrupted, but it certainly disrupts their lives.

Do any of you get so extreme as to uproot your children?

When my son way young we never lived in the same place for 3 months. We were homeless countless times. We finally stuck somewhere with the help of after school things, section 8 and our psych team we have successfully lived in one place with utilities for almost 4 years.

That really does stink. I agree that it's probably not as bad since they're not going to school yet but once they do I hope she settles down and stays put if at all possible. I pray for both of you to make it through her behavior. I would never do that to my children. I believe children NEED stability and to know that they can count on me to keep their best interests at heart.

I totally agree. I have BP too and I never would have done, never did, this. I too agree children need stability.

I'm glad it is working out for you. I hope my daughter gets it together soon.

I would say she needs to get help and back on meds. If not for her own sake, for her children's sake. I sympathize with how hard this must be for you. I sense anger in your post. Understandable. I hope you are able to help her get help?

I feel really bad for you. My son has done that too, only he doesn't have children. I am so thankful for that. Is it bad to wish you don't have grandchildern? Taking care of him, is taking care of a child. If he had children I can't imagine how horrible it would be. I hope something makes her want to take her meds again. It took my son a long time to realiz he feels better when he takes them. Good luck to you. I hope it gets better.
