A man in his 50's. Has a good job, wife and kids. Constantly lies. Cheats on wife. Lies to wife. Lies to women he cheats with. Exaggerates stories. Makes up stories. Does all the talking so you can't even get a word in. Seems somewhat hyper and sneaky. Tries to make himself better by saying he is 5 foot 11, when really he is barely 5 foot 8. When talking seems as if he is trying to make his stories really interesting.

Does this sound like anything?

I would check into any and all mania disorders. Ex: Hypomanic
Mania disorders usually range in the areas of extreme and inflated behavior, excessive hyperactivity and possibly the urge to lie from the affects of inflated ego. (not saying you have one). These also fit into types of Bipolar Disorder.

Here's a link that is suggested for more information on personality disorders:

Personality Disorders & Personality Traits

You can check the characteristics of each one to see which you think best fits the person you're describing but nobody can/should diagnose a personality disorder if you're not a trained professional. Sometimes a person can fit into two or more categories, sometimes they may have traits of one or more personality disorder(s) without enough to really qualify for the full disorder(s). And really what is the reason you're wanting to "diagnose" this person? To help him? To help his family members? To label him?

Not bipolar. I am bipolar. I do not lie, cheat, exaggerate stories or make up stories. I am not sneaky and I am as tall as I say I am.

One of the Personality disorders.
Thanks for this!
