I'm supposed to attend a recognition dinner tonight... and I can only THINK that I made reservations! The stress these last 2 weeks (what with the dental added) has been terrific...

My T thought I had no plans on going, not to this one nor the one on the 15th... my ambivilence is hurting me. I thought about just showing up tonight, during the gathering time, and then leave. Right now I can't find any of the information as to where and when it is!

I've been trying to make my old computer work for a spreadsheet I volunteered a month ago. I did it but no one could open it in that file extension... and my old computer shut down for an illegal function each time I tried to save it in xls. I finally bought a new CPU but it doesn't fit the old monitor screen very well... MORE STRESS...

Plus, my T's service has been acting up ...I guess with all the thunderstorms we've been having??? And his line was busy busy busy. I called for operator assistance and all he would say, in response to my angst, ...there's no one on the line... duh! Not at 10:30 at night! Then he did suggest I call the doctor's emergency number. THAT IS IT! but m'am there's no one on the line... arrrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!! I went into melt down... but then the deep depression saved me from that, thinking the T doesn't give a hoot about me anyway.

At least I'm managing my pain fairly okay... esp with the dental. Actually, having the lower teeth covered now with real size veneers... the pain from those nerves is all but gone! (The tinnitus is sky high yet, from all the jaw activity?)

Sky,

Oh man it really pours sometimes.

I wish I could offer some really wise advice and make it all go away....I can't.

Stress, depression all sap our memory and ambition then the more we isolate the harder it gets not to isolate. It draws us down into that vortex.

All I can really offer is a hand if you need one to help pull you back up and hang on tight until you are more steady on your feet and the world quits raining.

(((((((((((( Sky )))))))))) if ok

Take care.

(((((((((__Sky)))))))))),

Sorry all these things are happening at one time. Really sad you are having the problem handling it all, & then, your psychologist's phone line when you need it most. It is amazing how we react in order to protect ourselves. Hope we can help you get through some of these issues until you can get that "Professional Help". We can't be that good, but........Where is your "marble"....maybe that will help a little????lol....no, I haven't forgotten about that technique. Hope you can get to the recognition dinner tonight & actually sit back & enjoy it after all of this.

I know how stressful going places is. Haven't been out of my house for 4 days between not feeling good & stress building up...not good. On top of that, I left the training of my filly in a bad spot of letting her have her way because everything I did was making things worse.

Hope you can get through to your psychologist before things get worse however cause there is actually nothing like the professional help.

Feel better,
Debbie

Thanks eskielover! Yes the marble! I used to have 3 that he gave me at different times... but I lost one and returned another so I wouldn't lose it... but now I have to go hunting the last one all the time... I've even had it washed witht he slacks!

His service was back online and I left a message... but he's used to my exasperation messages. I don't page him unless it's total melt down.. so he might not get it till Monday...

ah those animals just KNOW us don't they?

((((((((__Sky)))))))),

Here's hoping that your recoup doesn't take toooo long & that you actually enjoyed the night at the dinner. I guess every one thing that we do more is one step in a good direction even if it takes some recoup time.

BTW, I had to order the book "your body believes every word you say" since they didn't have it in stock, but should have it by the end of the week....looking forward to reading it.

Hope you are able to find that one last marble....maybe look in the bottom of the washer???lol lol....I've done that many times...lots of washed things I never thought would make it.

heres for a better week ahead,
Debbie

Thanks for the good thoughts. Washer? You want me to look where? hehehe good idea.

I'm not sure how well Sat nite went... brain still isn't processing all that.. but since no one has emailed me with a problem, I was probably stunning! ; )

My May is packed jammed full of stuff... and I don't remember agreeing to much of it! Of course, pt and p/t 3 days a week, and I see my MD tomorrow... DMD on Wednesday for top teeth work to begin, my one friend who lives in HOMESTEAD for land's sake usually wants to have dinner with me the 2nd Wed and I won't be able to...
I'm supposed to present awards next Sunday for a dinner I haven't signed up for yet (and can't think about it) next week in addition to the pt and p/t I have a dietician appt on Wed... um maybe it's THAT Wednesday that my friend wants to meet but that would be tough and 2 trips south in same day.. gads...
and I have the remainder of the veneers sometime in 2 weeks also... plus the wrist brace company is trying to make me take splints that I don't want and the main authorizing company called and then called my physical therapist (who, thankfully, told them the same thing..and told them where to ask to find what I need!)

And my notebook computer is still missing and the postal service hasn't responded to my request..and so I just went out and bought a new cpu out of frustration cuz i can't do diddley volunteer work at all (which the psychologist likes me to try) And the old monitor was too small a print to work with the new cpu so I just NOW bought a new flatpanel $$$ and the rebate on it says only 1 person customer and they need the ups symbol and so the plan is all skewed cuz how can I get the full rebate like that???
And my psychologist keeps telling me I pile things up on myself and just WHERE HAVE I DONE THIS TO MYSELF????

anyway..that only takes me to the middle of the month...
I won a trip to Disneyworld back in Jan or Feb and haven't been able to go and the tickets expire in June... More stress

and I need to get a photo for and ID that requires passport type photos and I look horrible and have to wait till the veneers are done but have to send it in to government before the 24th

and the dog has to have his rabies shot for his license before the 24th

and I backed out of the garage, or tried to, for the third or fourth time this year... and cracked the strip brakelight in the wing (at least the door still works)

My mother is flying out to a family wedding next week and I have to take her to the airport (and she's flying out of MIAMI of all things) and then pick her back up the following week...

and I haven't been able to get my nail care I desperately need before my cuticles bleed any more... nor have I been able to schedule an appt with a house cleaning company I called...and desperately need their help (if I'm to put the dietician's advice to work and have someone help me with grocery shopping and cooking!)

Not to mention (really) the pain and fatigue I'm experiencing.

I feel like in the Peanuts' cartoon I"VE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!

Thanks for listening More stress

OH... btw... the T says his service worked all weekend and that he received calls from other patients during the same time I said it wouldn't work (over an hour's worth.) So I guess I'm so hyper I messed up MY phone (wireless) and it couldn't get a true ring??? gads

That is a crazy busy May _Sky! I'm taking today to recover from matters that required my attention over the past two weeks and I wasn't anywhere near as busy as you are. I get tired just reading how much stuff you have packed into this month!

Do the best you can w/o overdoing it. Trite but true for PTSD. Hard to know the limit when sometimes the limit blows by before our awareness even picks up on being overwhelmed. We live and learn and learn and relearn and ...... More stress

Oh...the phone? I've not been able to dial (push button regular cheapo corded phone AND spiffy cordless push button phone) when in a triggered state or, for lack of better term, when freaking out. It is frustrating not being able to do a seemingly simple task like dialing a phone but even more so in the midst of crisis or great need. It happens. Again we try to learn each time. And yes we are all sick to death of so many dang lessons all the time!! More stress

continue doing the best you can and try to let go of the rest each day as you're already carrying far more than most mortals can bear. iow pace things out if you're able to Ms. superwoman.

and somehow I have a "clear" area on my new glasses that have scratch resistant and are transitions... all I know is a bit of food from the cuban restaurant splattered on it and when I wiped it off... voila!

and I did get my photo ID... but couldn't smile because half the temporaries on my top teeth had come off and the pic looks like a Dr Seuss character?

Wow Sky,

I'm exhausted just reading about all you have to do......& can I go back to bed & go to sleep....I'm too tired???????? lol

Your life sounds like what mine was like begore I ended up sick...".So much to do & no time to do it". You are doing well to even have them seheduled & when you chalk each one off your list, you will be one step closer to a reasonable recovery. Isn't it frustrating that when we have things going that we end up having other problems that occure at the same time that weren't scheduled.

Please don't overdo it though...I can go strong for 1 or 2 days, then back to bed for several more.

Take care & be good to yourself,
Debbie

yeah... you're right ... but I usually only get 3 - 4 functional hours a day so it's easier to over do, but also easier to stop...

MORE STRESS::::::

the icemaker on my side x side decided to ...open the water valve ... I was just walking through the kitchen when I realized I was splashing in water and the ice/water in the door option was not only in the door?

Sigh. I had bought all that stuff like the dietician said (very tough for me to grocery shop) and put it in the freezer... and now it is covered in a thin layer of ice because the ice maker also poured water inside...

It took all I could do by hanging onto the front of the frig and leaning back a few times to get the thing to roll out from the wall, then I had to get down and turn the water off.

I should have known something was going to happen, I had 1) asked for a flood quote on my home 2) spoken to my new insurance agent at AAA concerned about my coverage in general.

BTW the tail light strip in the spoiler is $219.00 by itself, not counting installation. no salvage yard has one.

And the sub woofer I blew in the back of the car (convertible) requires Dealer replacement (JBLs) and the removal of the back seat etc to do so. I didn't even ask the price ..it aint happenin this week..month...

Ok. One foot here... one foot there another foot... I mean first foot there.... I am gonna get through this.

one foot and then the other is right! Egads _Sky that is not the kind of day or week most folks can handle and here you are doing this month in and month out.

You have the right approach of you will get through this........you somehow do and that is admirable.

Guess my renting a rathole has advantages of not having an icemaker fridge or dishwasher......luxuries until they break! More stress

tks zh

... yeah if I didn't have these things...

sigh. Now another prob: the dvd burner on the replacement cpu says my dvds are full... I just took them out of the wrapping... and tried to get the program to prepare them for data... because the computer wants to make Restore/recovery disks... so I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong, or if the burner isn't working. arrggghhh!!!

but at least I haven't called my T during my mini meltdowns.

My mother called from her travels to the family wedding... wants me to go over there and water her plants. She left a bag of fresh oranges on the back of her front door (to be sure I went over there????) duh.

I can't just replace the tail light... I have to replace the entire spoiler!

can you believe this? the fan in the dishwasher that "air dries" the dishes quit.

so far.. I'm still hangin in there... but maybe I should stay in bed and then I won't realize all this stuff is happening (of course, in the case of the ice maker, I would be floating away bed and all, by now..)
