I have never taken Lexapro....sorry. I think posting here and in the drug forum was a good idea to seek information from all sources.

I have my fingers crossed someone out there can answer whatever questions you may have.

Good luck Inky.

I've been taking Lexapro for a few weeks and it is working very well for me. I've seen no side effects but I'm seeing good improvement in my behavior and anxiety level. I'm on a very low dose though as taking more triggers my insomnia.

While I tried a larger dose for a couple of days, I did have very vivid dreams which my doctor told me was a side effect. The dreams stopped and I started sleeping better on a low dosage.

Also, when I started taking it, that was the first time in 3 years that I started sleeping and beating the insomnia.

I've been on it for 1 1/2 years. It helped for a long time, over a year or so. Greatly helped my panic attacks, claustrophobia and agoraphobia. Lately though I notice that I'm becoming claustrophic again but not to the point of panic...yet. Definitely vivid dreams, worse lately. I'm planning to get to my doc and make a change but just haven't done it. All in all it's been good while it lasted. Lexapro

Welcome gardengift! Do you garden? I love to when my PTSD isn't out in full-force.

You'll love it here!
