I can't sleep, either. Even when I was a child I was always an insomniac. My brain has a hard time shutting up when it's time to sleep. So know that you're not alone! can't sleep.

You aren't alone, I have had problems sleeping as well since as far back as I can remember. Some nights it is so bad, so many thoughts will keep flooding through my mind, and nothing I do can make them go away.., it is very scary, and I am sorry you are going through that. The best thing you can do is to get out of bed, and since you are posting on here, you obviously have Just get up and walk around, or try reading when you feel that way, it sometimes helps

Hubby used to be up for hours at a time due to racing thoughts (that's what his pdoc called them). She put him on Seroquel and he had no more problems. He took the seroquel for about a year and then decided he didn't want to take it anymore. He stopped the med and hasn't had the thoughts since.

Also, sometimes my mind is so full of things I don't want to forget that it will keep me awake. I find out if I write down what is bothering me or what I am trying to remember I can fall asleep because I don't worry about forgetting.

Good luck getting some rest.

I've had some problems sleeping too. With the racing thoughts and everything.... seems that I just couldn't get my head clear enough to shut my eyes and go to sleep. I talked to my pdoc about it, and he gave me Seroquel too. It's helping alot. can't sleep.

nope, sadly you are not alone.
My head is either empty or full of things - worries, things I need to do, the past, the present, the future.
Hope you get a better night tonight.

not alone--i have never slept well. have to take sleepy pills too. i've been taking trazadone. works. sometimes when i finally get to sleep, one of the others decides to wake up and starts to talk or think or whatever. hmm, i heard a good boring movie or book works--my solution is if i can't sleep just get up, guzzle down some good chocolate syrup and sit on the floor and smile!! LOL
can't sleep. can't sleep. can't sleep. ofcourse some good exercise helps too
can't sleep.
