you can get PTSD from major event...especially those surrounding death or the fear of it, lexi.

you can ask your t about that and he can assess that for you. Question

Lexi, I'm not sure but that you are experiencing "only" grief... memories that feel so real... are common for us when we are missing someone so and also on anniversaries, and at times that the passed-on person would have been there to help... (((hugs)))

Yes... You can get post tramatic Stress Disorder from any type of tramatic/extremely stressful situation weather it is the death of a loved one or a bad car accident, or witnessing a murder...

ptsd is usually defined as a harrowing event such as war, rape, kidnapping, or some other serious traumatic event, by definition the trauma would have to be horrific and of such severity that one become shell shocked, (for lack of a better term.
