The flashbacks and memories won't stop. Hyper-vigilance has kicked into high gear. I want to sleep! Every noise makes me jump, every shadow makes me look for somewhere to hide. I am so scared and alone.

Hi Can't stopcrying,
I just saw your post and hope things have calmed down a bit for you. I hear just what you're saying. It can feel like your holding onto the outside of a roller coaster car. Breathe. Breathe rythmically. Actually, sometimes just letting myself go and cry seems to actually help. It's as if it cleanses my mind. Do you have someone you can phone and talk to? That helps to ground me in the present. You are in my thoughts. |

I'm trying...I promise that. I want my kids to have good memories. I'm doing a good job of keeping the mom face on and will wait until tonight to fall apart...provided I can keep it together that long

Anxiety increases the flashbacks...I know that for sure...maybe that's why last night I was flooded with these again
