How do you handle triggers?

I get very depressed, sui thoughts, SI thoughts/actions etc.

I've been triggered twice since my last session. I don't see T until the 11th and I'm fine now, but am wondering if this is worth bringing up.

I know the standard answer is 'Yes' but I'm fine now. I made it through and feel okay. I feel like I'm stalling therapy discussing everything else in my life instead of dealing with my trauma (hate that word!) We're working slow on it & it seems every time we start getting somewhere I get triggered or something else in my life comes up that needs to be discussed.

I'm just rambling now...
Thanks for this!

Everyone deals differently. There are no blanket answers.

The trick is getting to the base of what you see the result of being triggered is and finding a new way to deal with it.

They come and go and they only control I see we have over it is in our ability to recognize and deal with it.

All I DO is ramble!

It's taken me a year and a half to really start addressing the gross stuff. I still find myself wanting to talk about almost ANYTHING else with my T.
Thanks for this!
