Hi all, I am sorry that i have not been online in a wh ile. I have had medication nightmares and have been very very sick.

I had a near death expierence with Luxapro and went into whats called annavolaptic shock. I could not breathe, my face and hands swelled real bad and was very very near death. Not shure what kept me from dying but this was very very triggering for me to be in the emergency room and having to be placed on IV's.

I am slowly recovering now at home. I have been really triggered by this event tho ugh. I am not sure what to feel right now.

My thearpist tells me that for the time being i should go off meds. My body is just too sensitive to them.

I am gonna go. I have to rest. WIll be back later though bear hugs.

Near death expierience with luxapro.....may trigger.

good god! Im glad you made it. I would have lost it. The last time I had an OD from using something recreationally,( I realize its different) I was so terrified when I was in the hospital. Im sorry you had to go through that, its not a fun experience at all.

It is scary, and you do need to rest. Anaphalactic shock can be fatal. I have the same problems...not being able to breathe and trying to remain calm just don't seem to work at the same time! I wouldn't go off any meds that have agreed with you so far..but do watch to see if you need a change in dosage. Anytime you have a reaction, your system changes.

Begin a list (if you haven't already) of medicines you are allergic to..when you reacted, (date) why you were taking the med, and what they gave you to counter it (that worked.) (I carry a typed full page of such information. I can't take any generic as they think I'm also allergic to the fillers.)

Take care! I'm glad you made it through. (((hugs)))

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. That would have scared the heck out of me, too.

I hope you're feeling better, soon.
