I just had a great diverting experience -- hit the pool at my gym during my lunch. Very relaxing, and I also hit the whirlpool after and soaked in the heat.
![]() I also some days do a quick 20 minute workout, either cardio or strength training. I highly recommend exercise/working out as a great way to get away from the stress, as long as you use it a time to think the positive and not dwell on the bad past events. |

I agree with everything said above, I can't afford a gym so I just do Epsom salt in my bathtub and do exercises on a mat. I also recommend meditating for 20 minutes a day, the closer you can get yourself to hypnosis the more relaxed you will be. Especially if you suffer from chronic pain, meditating and experiencing all the feelings you are currently having and accepting them as part of who you are really helps reduce the psychological and physical pain somehow. Maybe less stress = less pain?

I also think going to the gym helps me manage my PTSD a lot better. I am having a lot of really big, unmanageable emotions in T and exercising helps release some of them so that I can go through the day without tears or rage freak outs (or, okay, a little less like to have them).
