Back in March I was traumatized by a scary Youtube video, and I really don't want to go into the nature of it. At the moment of trauma I felt a sharp pain hit me somewhere in the center of my head. It was a really awful and indescribable feeling, and I remember having to look away from my phone screen. In the past 6 months, I have become super sensitive to noises (especially unanticipated kinds), and also sensitive to bright lights on a screen. My sensitivity has affected my life pretty drastically, and it really irritates my parents when I ask them to accommodate it. I can't help it
![]() Today I did some research on nerves, and I believe I might have pinched a nerve located somewhere near or in my brain, and I'm starting to feel anxious about it because I read that depending on the area of nerve, I could become paralyzed over time. One major thing I have noticed, is that it is often hard for me to turn my head very quickly. I have to do it a lot more slowly than I used to. I would never be able to become part of a heavy metal group because the headbanging would be way too hard on me. In the past week, I've been experiencing muscle tension in my head. Monday and Tuesday I woke up with racing heart rate, numb face, and I fell into a panic attack because I was having muscle spasms in my head. I thought it was related to a tooth infection I recently had pulled out, and that still might have been the problem because I seem to have calmed down since. However, I still keep thinking about the sharp pain I experienced from the shock of that video. I had a CT head scan done when I had went to the hospital in July for my 1st panic attack, and everything had checked out okay. I don't feel like I need a psychiatrist anymore, I think I need a neurologist to check me out. Could I be onto something, could I be on the right path? If so, I probably won't be able to schedule anything for at least a month. |

Well, I don't think it would be a bad idea to have a neurologist to check you out just in case. I'm not sure you should give up the psychiatrist just yet, though.

Today I think I just discovered something huge. I seem to show strong signs for Fibromyalgia.

I really don't know though.. I am searching around with the terms 'anxiety', 'nerve', 'trauma', 'ptsd', among others and I'm getting all sorts of different results.
What I do know, is that when the moment of trauma had hit me, I felt a sharp pain somewhere within my head. Since then I had experienced varying levels of PTSD (flashbacks etc), but all that has seemed to have mildly gone away. What is left, is any damage that could have been done to a nerve. I have an appt to see a Neurologist in a week, I'm just not sure if I can make it that long. The muscle spasms are getting intense, and the sensitivities are as strong as they have ever been. This feels like an emergency, and it's unfortunate that all I can do is sit and wait. Gonna probably leave tonight to grab some supplements to calm the nerves. Please don't be afraid to respond to my thoughts on this, I feel very much alone on this one. Will update if I have anything new. |

I did more researching and learned that I have actually been experiencing a 2 week Migraine! Oh my hell!
It literally took me forever to figure this out. After a doctor visit, dentist visit, having a tooth pulled, experiencing a bad reaction to Lortab & antibiotics, 3 911 calls, disturbing peace in the family, I feel like a total wreck. Now I've got to decide how I am going to cure it. It's been with me for two weeks and seemed to start after drinking 3 counts of alcohol. ![]() My family doc was no help in diagnosing it, and I feel like I've lost all faith in him. |

Although I've called the paramedics over twice, and the police once, I can't get no immediate help. I've called the Neurologist and have an appointment scheduled next Tuesday, and I can't seem to get in for any emergencies. I am coping well enough, now that I know what I am going through. Is there any home remedies that I can do to help cure or treat this migraine?? I swear I felt the pain go away after having the tooth pulled, but then I took the meds my dentist prescribed, the reaction I had to 500mg Lortab and 500mg Metronidazol weren't good, it seemed to bring the migraine back. The Lortab was at fault, it had hydrocone and acetaminophen in it, and it was giving me an awful tingling sensation. I have read that 500mg of Tylenol can help migraines in some people, but I'm afraid the acetaminophen in it might cause a similar reaction the Lortab had. I have to take the antibiotics. have you tried heat or ice (sometimes one works where the other doesn't)
I know it may not sound like much but sometimes it is worth trying at least while you wait for your appointment I don't know your med brands over in the US to know the ones you are mentioning I've just been through the run of neurologists, head scans etc as well so know how hard it is finding answers and help ![]() |

Something I really don't like and that I find quite troubling, is how the neurologists down here don't budge for emergencies. Before I was aware of my migraine (or even knew what a migraine was), I had listed off symptoms to several receptionists I called who just didn't give a damn what the hell was going wrong with me; not even if I had to wait 4 months to see anybody. I'm probably being unrealistic, but my family doctor can process greater amounts of people faster than they seem to, and neurologists aren't entirely in high demand ![]() |
