I was diagnosed as PTSD in 2009 after coming to the realization I was sexually abused (Flash backs). I have been psychotic on numerous occasions and hospitalized twice for it. Is psychosis related to PTSD? I am on anti-psychotic medications and just started taking Zoloft to treat OCD for intrusive thoughts stemming from sex abuse.

These all sound like they're related to the PTSD. If you get some good quality therapy for that, the intrusive thoughts and psychosis might go away. I think it's a disservice that you are being shoved pills when the core issue can't be treated with medication.

Ive gotten psychotic due to lack of.sleep.anxiety and pstd-so yeah it could totally. Be connected. To past trauma -it doesn't mean your brain is all messed up or anything. It means a lot of messed up stuff happened to or around you probably.
