So I was pretty successful in getting to sleep and having limited pre sleep anxiety. I'm sleeping through the night until my great dane starts having loud dreams-howling, barking, and letting out long loud whines in his sleep.

I had to have my service dog do what he does when I have a nightmare and go turn on the lights. The dane woke up (sleeping in a bed at the foot of mine). I called him up to cuddle for comfort and he was like a 100 lb baby.

Maybe I'll get a full night's sleep tomorrow. Sigh.

I hear you, seesaw. It's 4:00 am, yet again and I'm still awake. Maybe tomorrow!

GABA will help you sleep and dream normally without nightmare. You can do an hour of yoga a night or you can take gaba powder. Or do both.

Dogs and horses are psychic. They know what we think and feel. They feel our feelings. Like people, they need to work off tension or they get vicarious trauma. Pet your dog, hold him, let him run as much as he likes tomorrow. Show him lots of love. Be strong for him too.

Yeah, my kitten wakes me up whenever she feels like it. But pets are worth it. Sometimes I'm tempted to wake her up when she's taking a nap, but I'm all like "nah".

Mine somehow thinks that if I sleep until my alarm that it means I've slept in. So my cat is quite concerned about me being late, and thus decides he simply must come and meow at me. And no, it is NOT a feeding thing because his dry food is always out and available. It's simply a "wake up!!" motivation. It's cute... but also annoying the odd time that my body is actually willing to sleep a whole night!
