I am grateful my poison ivy rash is clearing up.

I am grateful for little toads in the window wells. I loved them as a child. I love them still. Its good to be home

I am grateful for a spooky October alone in an old house. Last night was super spooky with a tornado warning and thunderstorm and a tow truck driver coming to see why my car wouldn't start. I was sure he would chase me with an ax since the setting was perfect for it but he didn't.
And tornados didn't blow the barn down and the car started today.
Thanks for this!

Very hard to think of this today but will try.

Thankful for the sound of the pouring down rain that just makes me smile.

Thankful for a long preschool day.

Thankful for a break in my declining mood swing & thoughts of SI.

Our new dog that's 5 yrs old & acts like she's been a part of this family forever. She lets the kids pinch her tail or flap her ears etc. she's so very docile & happy.

Thankful for the desire to cook a big family dinner tomorrow.

Thankful for this new group that I go to & starting to open up in.

Thankful for my little boy who's personality is so much more than what I thought when I look deeply at him. He's very intuitive! He surprises me.

Thankful for MH insurance although it's a pain in the ***** to work with.

Grateful for this calm and peaceful day. Sure, I had to nudge that calm and peace along on this particular occasion by staying indoors, avoiding people, and granting myself asylum (no pun intended), but as the late great HST was known to say, "Call on God; but row away from the rocks."

Grateful for my kind and amazing mother-in-law, whose ability to fully embrace the person that I am has only been rivaled by her amazing son's.

That's all right now. But so much.

Today, I'm grateful....

That I started this thread, as it encourages me to keep finding the small things to be grateful for, even when I feel quite the opposite

For my darling son and laughing together at his silly jokes

For a school friend to study with

For the combination of mango and pineapple in an ice block, refreshing and delicious
Thanks for this!

I'm grateful for

The chance to finally meet my 3 year old nephew for the first time today

The joy on my boys face today to also meet his cousin for the first time, and hug his aunt tightly for the first time in 5 years

The sound of 4 cousins playing and chasing, giggling and shrieking with laughter, and exclaiming about the amazing animals at the zoo

For peace and quiet and the sound of rain on the roof right now, to quiet my screaming head

Braided rugs.
Natural dark.
Cheap fried fish.

Best of all I can unwind. I'm home. Im the sixth or seventh generation in my family home. It smells like a few generations might still be in a closet doused in moth balls but its getting better. Ive got a little brick room that was a service porch originally, so a room with a brick floor. It was my favorite room. As a child because It was rustic and unusual and mysterious and the dogs were allowed in It in a thunderstorm. I liked t tree outside. I liked the secretness of It. Younger kids weren't allowed
because It had the trap door to the cellar and deadly poisons and dangerous things. It was heck sweeping and dusting and decluttering but I found cool old things of my dads and grampas and now its my gardening room to change my clothes and clean my tools. I couldnt be happier. Ive got a reason to be in the little room every day.
