Everytime i work a new job after my first. Or try to talk with girls after meeting a certain girl. I get flashbacks and start getting obsessional/impulsive. I dont have nightmares or anything. Could this be PTSD?

PTSD is when you experience something traumatic and you're brain more or less gets stuck on it...Not so sure you're first job or first time trying to talk to a girl involved a life threatening occurrence that freaked you out, which is sort of a pre-requisite for PTSD.

To me it sounds more like maybe anxiety and rumination issues, which I also sort of have at times...like the mind that will not mellow out I think PTSD can make that worse but that in itself isn't.

A doctor spewed the same jargon at me and brushed all my behavior as psychosis. Its possible to expirence something that is emotionally traumatizing that triggers PTSD.

You have to have experienced one or more of a specific set of traumatic events in order to have PTSD. PTSD isn't given to anyone who claims to have experienced something traumatic, as things like a break up with a girlfriend or boyfriend or getting fired from a job are not "traumatic" in a PTSD sense.

Believe me when I say you don't want this disorder! (I have been diagnosed and re-diagnosed by 10+ psychiatrists, and have taken diagnostic tests, so my Dx is pretty much a lock.)

It sounds like you may have something more along the lines of generalized anxiety disorder or panic disorder, but not PTSD.

Just be careful how much you tell your doctors. They will literally put everything on your chart. I learned this the hard way. They are only there to fatten you up with pills, or chuck you off to a psychiatrist. It's big business! What exactly do you mean by obsessive? And what do you mean by impulsive? Elaborate so we can better understand what you do. Could this just be a stress response because you're unhappy at your job, or maybe you aren't dating the right people?

So encountering a Sociopath that screws up your life and being convicted for stalking because you went psychotic and literally scared the lives of an entire family to fear and saw all the facebook photos of their fear and horror. Not only this but I grew up in a household with an epileptic sister and I had to see many seizures at a young age, I use to get panic attacks whenever I saw/heard something that reminded me ofa seizure.

Lets not forget my first job invaded my privacy.

Based on all that, it seems more likely PTSD is a possibility...but I had no idea you went through all that based on the initial post, hence my initial response. Either way I still couldn't say for sure either way since I am in no position to diagnose anyone.

Nope, I'd still say that PTSD isn't possible as you don't have a criterion "A" event. You are throwing a fit because professionals don't give you the label you want. You are the one who went psychotic and stalked other people. (I think the last reply misinterpreted the stalking as done to you.) If this is incorrect, then the parallelism in your writing is wrong.

Typically people do not choose to be psychotic, and what one experiences in that state can be traumatic to the individual who experiences they psychosis though it can also be traumatizing for others it effects I imagine depending on what exactly happens....no one here is in any position to diagnose or say for sure what conditions anyone has or doesn't have.

I am not getting the impression you "want" the label, I think you are genuinely struggling and are trying to find better answers on how you can manage it better.

I think that you would do better spending time with a psychiatrist and therapist who can listen to you and help you understand it better. I am very sorry you are struggling so much right now, no matter what the MI, it is challenging and scary and frustrating. Psychosis is no picnic either, so be kind to yourself and continue to reach out for professional help. Get more than one opinion too and find a good therapist, it can take time, but there "are" good ones out there that can help you.
