Hi everyone still trying to find the right drug for my insomnia . 100 mg gave me vivid dreams that were half flashback half flash forward. Gonna try 200 mg tomorrow. Took another 100 just now but not sure how that's going to work.

Hi leomama.
I have also suffered from insomnia, no doubt a product of my long term PTSD. I have tried many different medications to help me get the rest I need…but the side effects can be very intrusive. Recently I have started using a foot scrubbing technique taught to me by an indian tobacconist.

Just run a shallow warm bath with some pleasant scented body wash and using a stiff nail brush scrub your feet, toes, heels, and ankles for about 10 minutes…concentrating mostly on the soles of your feet. Rinse off and dry thoroughly…..go straight to bed and hopefully you will find that you drift off. This may or may not work for everyone…. however clean feet are always nice.

I like what you said about moving from our pasts and moving forward, I have insomnia really bad and I just read some thing about taking epson salt baths, It was pretty interesting and I am going to try it, Nerontin never worked for me, I wish you the best in getting some decent sleep

Thank you I've decided to go medication free for sleep and try other things like monitoring caffeine and winding down at 8pm.

I take Geodon (I'm bipolar and PTSD) and I use Lunesta as often as necessary, which is a few times every week. I wish you the best of luck with your sleep.
