Was anyone on this site involved in any way with this tragedy? If you feel okay about it, I would like to talk about shared memories.
God bless, Sandy

Thanks Recluse1 and Muffster,
I appreciate the fact that you wouldn't object to me talking about the crash, but it really is too traumatizing and inhumane to discuss this with people who don't understand from a "been there" point of view. I wasn't looking so much to talk about it as to support each other through the upcoming anniversary. Thanks again, though, for providing me an outlet if I wanted to talk about my involvement in it, but.....I was hoping to find someone else who took any part in the disaster. God bless, Sandy

Sandy,
I'm sorry there doesn't seem to be anyone here that you could talk with about this. I don't know if this will help you, but here is a link to a message board dealing with the tragedy. http://forums.swissair111.org/eve/fo...rm/f/322103945 (I posted this here as well as in General in case you didn't see it) |

((((Petunia))))
I replied to you in General. Thank you again. I'm really hoping it's not a forum filled with curiosity-seekers, but actual people who were involved...the workers, the loved ones. Once I get enough Valium in me, I'll check it out. ![]() Thank you again. The memories just won't leave this year, and I worked for four months on the disaster. I'm having a really difficult time with it this year. And I'm remembering things I'd forgotten (can't believe I forgot some of these things!!). And I walk around with a movie playing in front of my eyes. I really hope that site will be the real deal, but I'm not going into it until I'm Valium-ed to the gills! Lol. Thank you. God bless, Sandy

Hi again Petunia,
I went to the site just to take a peek, without the Valium I thought I'd need (lol), and it turned out to be the same group as used to be found in Yahoo Groups. Barbara and her husband lost their daughter on the flight, and she has become very active and aggressive in terms of airline safety. So this isn't a support site. It's just discussions and complaints about air safety and trying to make changes through the government. At least, that was what it used to be like. I guess I could join and see if there is anyone from the area that was actually involved, and then we could write privately. Thanks so much, though, for finding that for me. I don't do so well when it comes to searching for specific items on the internet. And I still find it amazing that out of all the people who come to Psych Central, that I'm the only one here who took part in it? This was a huge tragedy that involved a number of countries and organizations. But that's okay. I've made it through every other anniversary, just like all of you have anniversaries that you survive. Thanks again, Petunia. God bless, Sandy

Hi Sandy. Im sorry you having to go through this still. I wonder the same, am i the only one here who has gone through katrina or am i not. If you need someone to chat with about it, i will listen.
I hope the anniversary for you, me and all the others here goes by fast and without much thought. Take care chalmette70043
