Hi all.
I have a question for members here who have gone through this. I'm looking into exposure therapy for my dental phobia. Has anyone here used it before? Is anyone able to explain it to me? Also, is it possible to have exposure therapy in online therapy? Otherwise are there other types of therapy to help me overcome the phobia? I really feel trapped right now. I need to find a way to start overcoming this not just go on an appointment by appointment basis because that isn't working. Thanks. JJ |

Hello sfchristiangirl: I don't have any personal experience with exposure therapy. But here's a link to a video California therapist Kati Morton did with regard to it:
Perhaps it can be of some benefit. ![]() ![]()

It was hard but it is getting easier to walk through that hard part, having a lower emotional number each time. So do some research on it and see if it sounds like something you can do. When I first started I got a lot of mixed emotions about it from other members, but the final decision was mine to make and I felt like it was worth trying. You can always stop if it's not for you. If you start it keep in touch and we can discuss it. Good luck with it. All therapy is work in my opinion, you just have to keep your eye on the prize at the end, ya know?
