I hope someone can tell me something about it...

It is very strange: When I am extremely tired, I tend to get very anxious and then I have a hard time falling asleep, as opposed to, I suppose, other people that tend to get very sleepy when tired and go to sleep easily.
Does anyone know this, knows why it happens and what can be done about it???

Hello Alishia88: I don't really know anything about this in particular. But I do recall, some time ago, reading an article in our local newspaper that talked about how it is possible to become so tired that one has difficulty sleeping. So I presume that what you're experiencing isn't necessarily out of the ordinary.

I presume you're familiar with all of the recommendations that are typically made with regard to preparing for bedtime. That information is easily accessed on the internet. When I can't sleep I get up & do walking meditation walking slowly around-&-around throughout our dark & quiet home for an hour or even two occasionally. When I do finally go back to bed, I usually fall asleep.

Yes, I understand being too tired, ending up 'tired/wired' and unable to sleep. What I do is make sure I don't get to the point at which I am so tired that I'm 'over-tired'...I go to bed at roughly the same time every night, and make sure I'm in bed before I am exhausted. In other words, as soon as I feel a little bit sleepy I go to bed.
