Hi all, I am new to the forum.
I've had my job now for 2.5 years, which is the longest I've been employed this decade. I had a good career going, but I moved to a new state and the market is different. I'm finding the people at work to be very hostile as of late, with petty and passive-aggressive comments. I've started looking for a new job, but I would like some support. I need to keep showing up to work so I can support myself. I need to focus on my job at put the rest of it out of my mind or something. I can feel my anxiety level increasing over the whole thing though. Any comments would be appreciated. |

It's great with its ideas to center on you and your life and what you want instead of a particular job! But her plan to do something for "only" six months will move your thinking around so you can go to work at a "crummy" place happily because you'll have your own plans and won't be sucked into a job/boss or other peoples' plans.

Scout,
I have had a similar experience. My husband and I moved to Kansas almost 10 years ago. I have never understood the people here, and really would like to get out of the state, but have yet to convince hubby. Feel free to PM me. EJ |

When I'm having a hard time at work I tell myself "today for the next 8 hours I am going to focus on the following tasks...... That is what I need to do--- that's what I get paid for" I use it like a mantra. I say it over & over (in my head)
It helps me. |
