I have PTSD from childhood abuse. I found out my abusers was abusing another child. I called CPS. The abusers are my parents. I'm drunk right now trying to cope with calling CPS on them.

That is a very brave and stressful thing to do. Do you have any supportive people around you while you process this?

Making that call is a hard and huge step. What you did is no small feat.

I relate because I once called CPS on my sister's (now former) best friend. Both my sister and her friend were furious with me, but when **trigger warning** you see a belt bruise on a two-year-old's thigh, you don't just ignore it. My sister's friend openly acknowledged that she had put the bruise there, and she wasn't even sorry. "Yeah, he was bad, so I whipped his...."

Of course I called, even knowing my sister was going to hate me for it. Eventually she came around. It took a while, but eventually she ditched that friend.

If I had it to do over again, the only thing I would change would be not giving my name. It turned out she already had an active CPS file, was having an affair with her very corrupt CPS worker, and he told her who called.

That very brave. I had the dark experience with CPS. Due to false accusation made against a family member who was living with me at that time.

I believe you there is some dark side with CPS. Is there a way that you can report her CPS worker and explain what kind of proof you have? I had some bad experience with CPS. Because of them I refuse to have children.
Thanks for this!

It happened so long ago that I couldn't do anything about it now.
