My mother really stresses me out. She sent me a pic of an award she won, nothing else, so I sent her back a pic of a pin I was given. She came back with “dad said the x championship hadn’t started yet” and I was like “maybe you should talk to me directly, that pin indicates it has started”.

I saw my t yesterday and she was talking to me about how I should sit back and enjoy my accomplishments not just be driven to achieve more.

All my life my mother has competed with me: my looks, my talents, my achievements. When I was disabled from ptsd she told everybody I was on welfare to avoid the guilt she would have to feel knowing she had a large part in causing my ptsd.
I will never forgive her for that but I’m slowly beginning to recover.
Having a narcissistic mother is one of the most damaging things that can happen to a girl.
