I have an appointment to see a new T in about an hour. I am so terrified that my stomach hurts. She specializes in PTSD, and I know that I need to do this. I am just afraid of learning to trust another person. I will update when I get back.

Okay... I survived!

Actually, she turned out to be really great, and I am getting a good vibe from her so far. She seems to have a very comprehensive understanding of ptsd and all the little things that go along with it. She validated my memory flashbacks of early infancy... referred to it as psychic memory. And overall, I think this will work. It is a huge relief.

I am glad to hear it went so well for you, obsids. I wish you luck in progressing in future sessions with your t.

I am so happy you were able to find a specialist in this field. You are so lucky. Once you start to open up, it will be hard to stop.

It is such a feeling of relief just to talk it out, and have someone else know what you went through. Some how it takes you from being victim, to being in control again.

I wish you a speedy recovery and every happiness.

Yes, it is a feeling of profound relief, and at the same time, it is terrifying. Yesterday was my second session, and the rest of the day was okay. But then last night the horrific nightmares returned. I knew they would. But I have to do this... just like sometimes they have to break your leg a second time for it to heal properly.
