Um, I'm not the entire medical field, but I've not heard it used that way except in legal documents. I still hear it as a DSM disorder or diagnosis. That's how it is used in our clinic.

Sky, I'm glad you found those lists helpful in framing your situation in a way that works for you. I have to say, though, those lists do not fit with my experience of treating those with mental disorders and those with PTSD. The items are a group of statements that do not hang together with all mental illness. I don't know who developed them, but I admit, I don't get them at all.

It almost sounds to me like one person's conceptualization of two specific diagnoses. As if they were trying to reason it out for themself.

I don't get y'all. Is it my turn to be dunned? I don't see members attacking other members' posting of lists... in fact I see plenty of reinforcing behavior to those who posts lists. Guess It's just me that isn't allowed?

And they aren't even MY lists! You don't have a problem with ME you have a problem with YOU.... and guess I'm just an "easy" target. I know I am held to a higher standard here... but once again I have proven I am just human. sigh.

I am not targeting anyone, either. I don't like the lists because I feel they are blaming toward people with "mental illness" and distinguishing us as a separate and naturally "inferior group"

I have no problem with you personally Sky, and I did not post my objections to target you. Only to object to this particular list.
